just get a high flow cat. i got a magnaflow HFC and it basically eliminated my rasp from the pre cats.

What did it do for your Drone? I have not done PCD yet and am honestly afriad to do anything else to the exhaust! The damn drone I have now from the my current setup is horrible!

Hey man did the hfc decrease performance much? How is the flow, sound, smell.

You don't have a big enough resonator then. I am fully bolted (including V2 PCDs) and how much rasp do I have? Zip-zip-zeroooo.

If I rev it above 5K then you hear slight rasp but when under load there is zero rasp. I also don't have any drone at all inside the car.

I have the V2 PCDs/RV6 V1 Jpipe/3in piping from Jpipe back with a 30in body Magnaflow resonator/dual 2.5in Ypipe and 2 Dynomax Ultra flow 14X4X9 mufflers. It's actually pretty quiet and sounds pretty mean WOT. One problem is I have a slight metallic resonance that I don't know what it is or where it's coming from. But no rasp at all.

My advice is get a bigger reso!!

The main problem is most people purchasing this or will be purchasing this (just like RV6 exhaust and J-pipe) are newer members of the forums. Most of them don't even know what P2R is or they have never done business with Josh (XLR8) yet. If you head to a thread over to Richies thread, you have dynos and progress. Not bashing either of you, but that's how it is supposed to be done. I don't like "feeler" threads, that's why you can post one in the Black Market. If you're going to do something, do it right. P2R needs to make it, dyno it, and video it before "saying" they will regardless of how reputable they are. It's almost like Acura making a Type-S 2013 400 HP TL and they didn't show the car, didn't show any other specs or features, but asked the public to fork out 50k for it to pre-order it.

At the end of the day, is it really hard to just make 1 of the pre-cats and dyno it? Come on now... I understand you're all forking out your own money, but, in all respect, I know you have the money to do so or you wouldn't be in this business. Richie just forked out over 4k just for tips that he isn't sure he will be using, that's called business.

I wish I knew how to weld. I would make my own.

i have pcd, atlp v1 jpipe, race pipe, and greddy with no rasp.

when i had the rv6 v1 jpipe there was a good amount of rasp from 2600-3300rpms

Any advancement on this product?

What about R&D to bring this over to other J series motors - IE the 4G TL, the 8th Gen accord etc that use the EGR on the front cat?

If this still happens, count me in. I can put a deposit down if needed to speed it up.

What we know for sure:

Hp will be about the same between all PCDs.
These will have less rasp than the other PCDs. How much is anyone's guess.

I love the idea of a made in America product. I won't get into it too much but I'm so incredibly sick of China shit. It has ruined so many industries. The guy I used to work for sent some of his manufacturing out to China. The first batch you get back is great. Then you put some real money down to have a large batch and they re-engineer stuff including materials to make it cheaper for them. I paid $1,200 for a set of made in the USA headers for my GN when the China copies of this system were under $250. The guy that made these stated that within a month of him doing all of the R&D and manufacturing, there would be a China knock off and sure enough there was. I would much rather pay more for an American company for a consistently higher quality product than pay for a China made ripoff.

I've even seen a China made Eagle forged crank fall over (sitting on the floor, not a bench) and break in half. I wonder if it would've held up in the 1,000hp SBC it was going in.....

im actually in the market to replace my cats (they went bad on me and throwing codes P0420 and P0430) and was thinking about doing this - my current setup is ATLP jpipe/test pipe into GReddy exhaust

I'm not sure these ever got made. At least.. I never heard anything else about them. Look into rv6 PCD's or HFC's

Don't bank on these. There are already options for the PCDs, and now HFCs.

If you don't want any rasp, get the HFCs. Or, get the PCDs and put a very large resonator on the exhaust. That will get rid of the rasp. OR, get the PCDs and get a high flow cat in the stock '3rd' cat location. You will have 0 rasp and probably minimal to no smell.

Jray you have a hole in yor exhaust somewhere. Get a shop to weld it up

Just want to know is that normal to have this problem? I don't think I hit anything before.....
And I have another question I read a lot of comment about RV6 V3 J-pipe, some of the AZ member said it will give us rasp with ATLP cat back but some said nothing happened at all. So what about if I only change the V3 J-pipe with OEM exhaust, will I have rasp or drone too?

I am still thinking about to get the V3 PCD because its like a 100% having rasp for most of the AZ members......

I don't think you'll have rasp with just v3 jpipe and stock exhaust. I'll be CLOSE to that setup on saturday once I put on my new v3. I have stage 3 exhaust so if I don't have rasp I doubt a pure oem one would.

Deleting the 3rd cat shouldn't cause any sound changes at all though really. Since you still have the 2 main cats.

I've never heard of these or seen anyone post about them. RV6 makes PCDs as well has high flow pre-cats. I haven't seen any other brands/models.

Even better would be if they appeared closer to stock cats so no one would give a second look at inspection. I've heard of people cutting a cat open, welding in a pipe with a few holes drilled in, and packing the rest with steel wool, ie made their own Magnaflow style muffler in a cat case. Unless you had to pass at the tail pipe no one would know.

RV6 offers these... just thought there were other options... i think i need to just be patient.. i just bought the car and the mod bug is eating me alive, but i really really want to go coilovers and wheels 1st, but i also really really want to eliminate these cats and replace the exhaust too lol...

^ RV6 has HFCs, not resonated precat deletes.

Your right about emissions for inspection... my other daily TL i bought came with the long tubes j pipe (one that deletes third cat) and I had to remove it because they couldn't pass me as they couldn't find the cat under the car...I know it sounds stupid but there computers told them three cats and couldn't find the third..

I personally prefer custom from a reputable shop and get magnaflow mufflers..always sounds good. this way you can also customize it to your liking...add a HFC, delete all...etc..
