Oh and I drive pretty aggressively... I made about a dozen 1/4 mile passes with the SC'er installed and I have the automatic transmission.
The car made 295whp and 243wtq. Ran 13.30 @ 108 MPH.

It's always comptech this and comptech that, but they never deliver ontime!

You people are ridiculous. Out of all of you people complaining it isn't out "on time" I bet 20% will actually purchase a kit.
The Stage 2 RSX kit includes upgraded injectors that will be incorporated with the TL kit (most likely). Relax...

I'm just patiently waiting at this point.

One project at a time for me, but I'll be looking forward to TL SC project. I pride in making clean installs so I'll be doing some research on it including the instructions provided when it's released.

Emailed Comptech, and they sent me this....
"Our technical department is currently in the process of finalizing electronics for the kit, which have taken slightly longer than expected. At this point in time the only information which is available is that the kit is adding in the region of 60whp to the car. Please keep checking our website for updates and details. Thanks for considering Comptech."

I don't mind them dragging the SC, I don't want any problems with it when I later will invest in it.....

The Comptech Supercharger will be here on June 15, or at least that is what I was told. I spoke to one of the Comptech representatives at the SEMA show in Atlantic City and he said that they are almost done with all the work for the setup and it almost definitely should arrive by then.
He said that he put a 6-speed on a dyno and it got somewhere between 55-60 horsepower to the wheels (pretty impressive, much more than the 40-50 we expected), and he's also working on an automatic and he's almost done configuring the boost setup and whatnot. I don't know what this means in relation to the actual setup in terms of whether or not it will first be offered in manual or automatic, but I'm getting the idea that Comptech will offer both in one shot.
You could take this with a grain of salt if you wish, but I know a lot of you 3rd gen guys are anticipating this and this is some useful information I'm sure. I spoke to the guy for about five minutes and it didn't seem like he was just trying to appease me.

2018 TLX A-SPEC
I'm not bothing to get it, for that much power I'll spend a few hundred and do a 50 shot instead. The price they will want and all the BS on release time isn't worth it in my opinion for 50hp

mrSTEVE-that time is sick, do you have a sc or what shot are you running? I'm assuming you have race tires up front too?

Conversation w/ Comptech Representative at SEMA IAS. (5/21/05)
According to one of the Comptech representatives, the status of the supercharger project for the UA6 is as follows:
(This was the actual person who is working on the project.)
-Both models (5AT/6MT) will be in the market at the same time.
-No definite release date.
-Assured that progress is being made in an effort towards completion.
-Quote: "We're workin' on it."
Comments about the actual product are as follows:
-Will include a carbon fiber air box ( )
-The ACM (Advanced Control Module) will NOT lower VTEC.
Quote: "No gains were detected during testing."

That's about $100/WHP all in ... seems a bit expensive ... how about we get a used 600HP RB26DET motor from the 2F2F scrapyard and throw that in and at the same time do a RWD conversion so you can actually use all that power instead of getting torque steer!

Sarcastic about the RB26DET swap but not about the cost or the torque steer ...
$4000-5000 in parts will buy you 200BHP more on a 2.0L DSM (or Honda or Nissan) with a standard turbo/intercooler/intake/exhaust/fuel pump package ... and I already experience slight torque steer on corner exit (power on, track out) with my bone stock '99 TL with a mere 225BHP so if I extrapolate to 325BHP ... the situation will only get much worse ... leading to a different choice of differential

6.5psi pulley on the Comptech S/C'er. All season tires on stock wheels.

Check your math. I don't see how you can say $100/whp if the kit is producing 60 additional whp. It isn't going to cost $6,000!

No torque steer in either of my 2nd Gen CL's (both supercharged). I suppose the 3rd Gen might be different?

NOS is a great way (and cheap way) to get that additional 50-60whp you'd get from the supercharger. But obviously where the supercharger would shine over the NOS setup would be in partial throttle scenarios. You're only spraying at WOT where as a supercharger is making boost as soon as the bypass valve closes (as low as 30-35% throttle depending on other variables). The Eaton blower Comptech uses will make it feel as if a larger motor has been swaped into the car. Whereas NOS will feel like, well, NOS.

Interesting, I have a 2nd Gen (non-SC) and I get slight torque steer always on corner exit/track out, did you modify your differential, turn on/off TCS, change shocks or something?
