Can I restore this old engine?

This engines been sitting in my backyard since March when I took it out of my 3g.

I managed to take the heads off this morning to see the damage to the block I was kind of surprised because even though coolant ending up mixing with oil the head gasket was still in one piece the car did over heat and own point before it became undrivable. Is there anyway I can restore it or should I just throw it away at this point.

Don't really have a plan for it other than hey it might be a good idea to keep a working J series around ya know

I think it’d be fun to try and rebuild it. Maybe not all at once (due to money constraints), but over time. Learn something, and could possibly build it to a 3.6, or something.
