This really makes no sense! I have to switch to another audio (fm, tape, cd, etc.) pick the album I want to listen to on the ipod and then go back to XM (Ipod). Is there anything I can do?

 

Does the ipod charge instead when its plugged into isimple?

 

it does not charge I believe I need to buy a cable to have it charge

 

If you're in iPod mode, you use your head unit to change albums, songs, etc. To select playlist and stuff you press the + under categories and turn the knob on the right to the one you want and press 6 to select.

Change it to Aux2 and you can do all that through your iPod instead.

To go to Aux2, press AM/FM button then XM and turn the knob on the right until it shows Aux2.

I think that's the right combos. I do it mindlessly. haha.

Aux2 is a different source altogether. Use Aux1 to play and control media from your iPod.
