Wendys camera is out...What is a good aftermarket camera?

I thought a lot of the other members on here were crazy how most said after a year, the camera died.

Well, 365 days after install, my camera has been going in and out and finally stopped working all together. I paid a little over 100 bucks for it. I can't see myself putting another one on with all of the other guys saying the same thing.

For all of you guys who replaced your Wendy crap cam, what did you go with? Here is a picture to show how I cut a nice half moon into my plastic to fit the camera in perfectly. I would to get another camera that could fit in this spot.

there's a sanyo camera on crutchfield that I was looking at getting, a bit bigger and has a control computer, but it looks pretty nice since it removes fish eye distortion and also has the path way lines.

^^ That's pretty freakin cool... I just read that. Has 3 different settings for birds eye view and stuff. Geez!

Ne wayz.. if you're looking for something a bit more cheaper but just as good... I got the BOYO backup camera that attaches to the liscence frame and I couldn't be happier. Its waterproof and all and I've had it on my car for more than 1.5 years now with not an ounce of an issue. And no you can't really see it when its in the Plate area. Easy install!

Click the link in my sig. They aren't closeups but you'll get the idea.. like I said... when approaching the car you don't notice it.. its very subtle. Perfect IMO.

I got 675 watts that says this would rattle right off my trunk within 6 months.

MMADE22,
This one is a little on the pricey but this looks like it will fit. I replaced my "Wendy" camera a while back with something like this. The one I have now doesn't perform as well in low light. 120 degree wide angle though.

Dont do that one... you will notice the images being darker at night when reversing, I saw that one on someones car already... and its very different at night compared to the WENDY one under low light conditions. Purpose of backup camera is kind of hampered.

Aren't you concerned with how easy it can be taken off? Can this work with any TL with Nav (05)?

Not too concerned. The camera has a few feet of cable coming out of it. Anyone removing it without access to your trunk would have to cut the cable which has a DIN plug on the end of it.
The mounted camera is not that noticeable from behind the vehicle unless you are squatting down near the tag.

This camera was lot easier to mount when I replaced my "Wendy" camera because it was not as bulky as the "Wendy" camera and I didn't have to remove the license plate shroud.
Here are a couple of pics of the camera mounted on a 2005 TL with Navi.
