2007 TL-S Nav Traffic Issue

Hi folks,
I am new to this site. Here is my issue. Got me a certified 07 TL-S. Have been trying to get the XM Nav traffic to work. After 7-8 times of signal reset, it still don't work. XM music comes through just fine! XM says problem with the GPS unit maybe. A point of note, I am running downloaded version of the Nav DVD 4.63 (not original CD). Not sure if thats the problem. Any Insight any one?

When you say downloaded..does that mean it is burned? Should not be your issue anyway. Pull the back up fuse for 30 minutes and reenter your codes and see if that helps. Sometimes the Acuralink unit gets cranky and needs a good reset. Xm traffic channel and the music channel are independent. Obviously you confirmed your traffic subscription with XM right?

Dumb question, but does your XM Subscription also include Nav Traffic? If it does, there should be a separate line item on your bill saying that you've paid for it. It won't work unless the subscription is paid.

^ thats why I asked him if he confirmed it with XM when he spoke with them. I get this one all the time. "I got my car three months ago and my XM is inop!" or they didnt know RTT is a add on.

RACINGHART03>> Yes the nav DVD was burned. Right now I have a 90 day trial for the nav traffic and XM Music. I have confirmed that nav traffic was added to the account. Btw where is the back up fuse located?

40 AMP link is in the underhood fuse box. It is raised a little higher than the others. If you are unsure you can try Pulling the cables and touching them together for a half hour or so. That should reset the Acuralink control unit. I would bet that it works after you do that. A word of caution regarding the burned DVDs. Acura has gotten sneaky with their DVDs and I havent heard of any success on ripping anything higher than 4.63. I recently upgraded my disc to a 4.73 and had no issues or blips in my RTT.

Haven't yet tried unplugging the 40 amp fuse that RACINGHART03 suggested, but every time XM refreshes the signal the traffic button becomes grayed out. I will try the fuse tonight.

I was gonna say the same thing.... zoom out and go to a major city like Chicago, LA, New York etc..... and see if you get the green/yellow or red lines along the major expressways. You just may be in a spot that is not supported.
