Is a converter needed for a back-up camera on an 07 drive?

I'm interested in installing a back-up camera on my base 07. I've done the nav conversion and wanted to know if anyone knew how to hook up a camera to the 07 DVD drive. I've been doing some research and it looks like a converter is needed in the 04-06, but the 07 drive has the camera feature. So is the converter necessary on the 07-08 drives?

you are using the white 4.xx disk, right? If so you have the 07+ unit with the input. You will need to buy the acura camera and plug that into the navi drive back. the camera mounts to that whole back license plate thing, so you might need to drill or get a new one.

Yup, white disk. Would an aftermarket camera work? I haven't priced out the stock camera because I assumed it would be really expensive. That would be the way to go though. Thanks for your help.

using a converter like navtool you can get an aftermarket one. the factory one is expensive, like 300 dollars.
