Underseat Sub option

My OEM amp is starting to go, but before I jump on a replacement amp/deck sub combo, I’d like to look at a 10” underseat sub.
- Wondering if it’s any better than the OEM setup,
- if it’ll even fit
- and what would be involved wiring-wise.

Not looking for anything loud. Just clear full sound, with at least the same hit as the OEM setup when it was newer.

Anyone have any experience with this or have any recommendations?

thanks

if that's your aim, why not just replace the OEM sub might be easier in the long run

Sometimes I crank up the ELS to 5! That's right--you heard me.

since I track the car, I’d like the ability to remove weight when needed. Switching to an underseat would not only allow me to pull the sub quickly at the track, but would also move that 8 lb weight forward and down during everyday driving, plus would eliminate the extra 5lbs in Dynamat that I would have to put on the deck lid to run a better sub.
trunk mount is not an option since I use every square inch of it.
I have no experience with an underseat, so I wanted to see if anyone here could share their experience / rate it.
I’m not looking for booming sound, just trying to go 1 step up from stock, and move the weight around a little.
