uncalled4 enclosure with 12" Alpine and Rockford Fosgate install PICS
Finally got the $$ to spend on the sound system upgrade, after reading tons of info on audio set ups and spending more time reading the Azine, have decided to go with the custom uncalled4 12" fiberglass enclosure.
I didnt wanted to spend lots on this, just to upgrade my 4 channel set up and have better bass, that oem rattling got to me.
Got the uncalled4 enclosure off black market here on azine with the Alpine SWR-1243D sub. The use of this enclosure is way better than dropping in any box or a box with falls wall. Still left with almost same trunk room.
Ran the sub in parallel at 2ohm powered by the Alpine MRP-M500 amp. Only runs at 500rms but after the install it was perfect to what i was aming for as for bass sound and clearity.
The plug and play Rockford Fosgate set up for the 4 channel I got an idea off of uncalled4 set up, Ive purchased the amp online and solder up my own connections using the oem amp female plugs. I have no issues with the 4 channel set up, the remote wire works from oem harness and sound clearity is like night and day especially when the volume is turned up.
He put some good effort creating this plug and play set up!!!
I dont care about loosing my center channel, since my promps were always tuned off... I rather listen to music than have the promps on.
Here are some pics of the install....
Trunk/seat area cleaned up
The GOODIES:
Rear Mono Amp install:
Custom aluminum bracket to hold up the amp
Custom 4 channel female connectors:
Stereo ouput connection with LOC converter for sub output
output from rockford fosgate connection to the 4 channel system
Cut the OEM amp to fit the new Rockford Fosgate amp
Front PnP Rockford Fosgate installation:
Alpine 12" compared to 8" oem sub
uncalled4 enclosure and Alpine sub installed
Finished product (gonna try to hide positive wire little more)

Looks good man. Nice clean install. I like the amp mounted along the right side also. Maybe pick up some tech flex or just some cheapo black tubing to go around that power wire/other wires to hide them a little better.
How does it sound?? That's all that matters lol
Make sure your gains are set correctly on those amps and enjoy!

Looks nice. I like the new amp in the old amp housing idea but that's asking for overheating issues.
Also, is that a cap for that little amp in the trunk? Probably could've saved some money there.
The Type R tests very well, it's a lot of sub for the money. I might be getting one for the GF. Did you have it installed in a different box before doing the corner box?

Its always fun doing something new, especially researching for it for months!
Yeh final touch up is to hide those wires, gonna rout the positive wire down instead of it going up and hide the remote and negative wire little more.
It sounds amazing. I didnt expect so much clean bass from that little amp.
Thanks Steven, took me roughly 3 days
Yeh thats what i was thinking along the way when I was cutting up that aluminum piece, but by bolting the amp to the that piece and running some soldering points around it will most likely dissipate the heat on to the aluminum piece... so far no issues
It is a cap... i had that amp running with my RF amp in front and had my led dimmed every time bass hit, I got it at a good price so why not install it and not worry about my battery.
That sub came in the premade Alpine box, I still have the box laying around at home.
After COBO duhhh
Thanks! and taking out that ANC module did the trick! no more rpm noise in the sub

vlad--very nice!
How did you secure the uncald4 box? Any pics?
Also, the wiring on your sub looks different than what came in the enclosure. Did you have to open a hole in the enclosure to run that?

When I bought the enclosure there were speaker wires already running through the enclosure sealed off with special epoxy. I didnt have the jumper cables for the sub to run it in parallel so thats why i wired it up like that, than connected my wires to existing enclosure wires.

Vlad it looks great! I love the amp on the side too, very clean and fits up there nicely. I just put in my order for an Uncald4 enclosure with a 10", probably doing the Alpine Type R too! You happy with the combination?

try setting up your amp like i did... if that suits you

Nice install, I'm one of the few that believes a cap actually serves a purpose and have witnessed it help on quite a few occasions with personal setups.
The only thing about the install I would've changed is different cap placement due to it blocking the Nav drive.
