Stereo issues with aftermarket amp and sub

So I hooked up 2 12's and amp last night in my 04 TL. Hooked up the LOC and have power to amp and subs but its not playing nearly as loud as it should. I do know that we connected the brown wire which i now see isnt supposed to be connected. Anyone know if thats the for sure problem?

Any help is appreciated

Gonna need a helluva lot more info to help.

What LOC? Is it adjustable? What amp? What are the settings on the amp? Are you sure the sub control on nav or non-nav unit is on?

Line out convertor (thats wired into the wiring connected to factory amp. subwoofer is at max of plus6. no nav. 1000w aftermarket amp 1ohm stable. nothing is wrong with aftermarket amp or subs.

That's the same LOC I had in mine when I purchase the car. It's an adjustable LOC...so you might need to check that. I would venture to guess that it's turned all the way down. If you're getting volume, but it's not nearly as loud as it should be then this is my guess....

Not sure then. Mine worked fine and I had the adj. LOC at 1/2 on both sides. Do a little troubleshooting

Now that you have it all figured out, what kind of amp do you have?

The LOC will drop the signal at about 24 db/octave under 100hz. In short, then can really make the lows fall off fast.

Is this proven with all LOCs? I ran a super cheap one for nearly 5 years and never had an issue down to 10hz. Even before the MS8 was installed, the lows were fine, once I went IB and started trying crazy test tones, the sub would go nuts on very little power with 10-20hz test tones. At 24db/octave from 100hz, it would have nothing under 50hz.
