Tapping into a/c to cool amp in trunk

Has anyone tried tapping into the rear a/c and running a tube into the trunk to deliver a stream of cool air directly on the cooling fins of the amp? I live in florida and am trying to think of a way to help keep the amp cool. This seems like a good idea, and was wondering if anyone has tried this.

it's entirely not necessary...

I guess for the one or two times a year I actually turn the heat on I could move the tube(s) away from the amp. I just thought any way to help keep the amp cool would be beneficial. S. fla in summer gets pretty hot. Also I've heard some people with this particular amp have had some overheating issues. I don't think introducing any cool air could do any harm, and I don't think it would be that much trouble to do.

i'd rather get extra cooling fans on the side.
they help a lot and you can turn it on using a switch.

I thought about that also, since I too am in Florida, so I mounted the amp under the front driver's seat. That way it's in the same temperature as the cabin, and when the A/C is on, it's been cooled also.

I'm using a 5 ch. amp and it is huge(22.5" width). I don't think it will fit under the seat. I am however placing the sound processor there because I read in the manual not to operate with temps >140. I'm sure in S. fla my trunk will reach that temp.
