so a little while ago i had some subs and a plug n play from PAC audio installed they ran my audio cables from the sub amp to the base knob then to some line output converters over to the kick panel where the factory amp is and spliced into some wires from the 14 p connector that runs from the head unit. i bought 2 two channel Line output converters for my 4 channel amp i recently installed connected them together to make a 4 channel hookup i cut all the wires from the 14 p black connector and basically dont know what to do with them..

why on earth would you splice into it?

the 14p that's on the factory amp, doesn't come from the HU, and is for sure grey, runs to the speakers would have been the one to splice into

but if your amps take balanced pre-amp signal an even better way to do it would be to splice into the BLACK 20p on the stock amp that's the signal directly from the HU

okay first off... i didnt know we were in english class douche.. its a car forum not an essay... anyways... i aint talking about the xm radio can u not comprehend.. yea that 14 p might be connector to it but i will break it down again. a shop installed my subs and they spliced into to the 14 p FOR MY SUBWOOFERS to.. so look up audio edge in bossier city and ask why they did it if its so unheard of.. I dont see anything in my previous post asking why my xm doesnt work so yea my post title was right .. but thanx for your useless input also.. the 3 wires they tapped into the yellow/ black and the green/red the remote wire went to a red/ yellow.. Im just trying to figure out where to run those 3 wires.. I installed a highs and mids amp.. put more line output converters on there its a 4 channel amp so i grabbed two 2 channel line output converters.. the converters are all in the kick panel where the factory amp was located.. if you have some info on where to run those wires id appreciate it...

the colors you have called out are from a 14p connector that is on the output side of the stock amp (not the stock HU like you've said earlier), and they are subwoofer +,- and, like you've said, the remote turn on (from the 20p amp harness)

IF you want to use the output of the stock amp you will need to use LOCs like you have correctly assumed, you will however have to tap into more wires if you need more than a sub to be amped

14p stock amp output harness:

front left - purple
front left + LT green
front right - red
front right + blue
center - blue/yellow
center + green/white
rear left - red/yellow
rear left + brown/white
rear right - yellow
rear right + red/blue

abirvalg thanks for the wiring info.. Its my first time doing this and hell I dont wanna mess anything up.. I found the factory diagram but honestly I been over thinking a lot and second guessing myself.. I got my highs and mids in, hooked up, and works fine.. I just couldn't figure out what to do with those wires off the 14p.. so just to be 100% on your reply, I should connect those wires from the 14p to the wires off the 20p or what? I appreciate the help by all means ..

are those wires connected to anything?

with factory install the 2 signal wires run from 14p on the stock amp to the sub in the rear deck

with an aftermarket setup they need to go from 14p to LOC to an aftemarket sub amp

the remote has to do the same, but it comes from 20p

if your sub works, be it a factory one or an aftermarket, then everything is connected fine

 

We would love to help you bro, but we have no idea what's going on inside your car. Someone asked for clarification and you blasted them.
