If by remote, you mean remote turn on for the amp, no you will have to tap it from the OEM amp located in the trunk, I belive.

I did exactly what you were referring to on my old CL-S, and it worked perfectly for aftermarket sub/amp combo.

You can use a LOC if your amp doesn't have speaker level inputs. I have all 6 channel running off LCOs. Also, for remote turn on, you can't use the remote line off the OEM factory amp. The signal voltage is too low for aftermarket amps. It's like 7volts of something silly like that. You need 12v. I tapped into the fusebox at fuse #32. Use the lower part of the fuse connection so that your remote turn on is still protected by the fuse.

I am using LOCs by Navone, the NE-774V (4 channel) and the NE-7V (2 channel). Great sound for the price, $55 for both. Good low cost alternative to the 3sixty.

I guess there are 2 ways to do this.

1. You can find the wires for the sub at the stock amp. Cut and splice in new wires going to the trunk and the LOCs. You can then run the wires from the LOCs to the new amp and sub

2. You can pull down the cover in the trunk to get to the stock sub from behind. Disconnect the wires from the stock sub and connect them to the LOCs. You can then run the wires from the LOCs to the new amp and sub.

I'll try to post the diagram when I get home or you can do a search.

Hope that helps

Here's a diagram of the OEM amp and wiring.

Socket A is output to the speakers
Socket B is input from the head unit

I've been trying to find out if the wires from the head unit to the stock amp are lowvoltge, already. Why would I need to use the LOC. Couldn't I just soler in an RCA plug, then rout that to the new amp? I would think that this is low voltage, sice it is before the stock amp.

You can, but the signal is very low. Like 1v or less. NOT a good level. You're gonna have to use some serious gain on your amps, and that's gonna induse noise in the form of hiss. Some here have tried it and come away with very bad results. Those that do take the signal before the amp, usually use a line driver to boost the signal up to a 4-9v range. You can go either way. A good LOC for 30 bucks or so (50 for all six channels), or a line driver for 100 or more. Course, it really depends on what you want. Do you want to defeat the stock equalization? Add your own equalization? Adjust time alignment. I mean, if you're gonna go all out, a 3ixty can do all this for you, but a 6 channel 3sixty.2 is gonna cost you 400-600 bucks. How serious do you wanna get? The LOC is the quickest and cheapest way to get an aftermarket system into your TL and keep everything working like factory.

Thanks, Wyzard
For now, I'm just adding a 12" sub and amp and will use the LOC. Hope it doesn't drown out the rest. I have an old Titanium 4ch amp, and will add another later. I'm just not ready to do the whole speaker replacement, now and I can't imagine using the stock speakers with this amp.

i just tapped into the wire right by the sub with the LOC, hooked it up to a ppi amp set on the low side for gain and what not, and i can still use the nav control to adjust sound output from the sub
