shock sensor add on
shock sensor add on
i did this on my 03 CL, and want to do it to the 05 TL
which wire do i need to splice into to make this work. power and ground i already know, but which wire for the negative input? on the CL it was the trunk wire, but it looks like honda went and make the trunk wire on the 05 TL positive, i really don't feel like using a relay to change it from positive to negative.

ground is all over the car, if you look you'll see a massive amout of black wires that connect to the body of the car by a nut, use that
power just has to be searched for, you need something that is constantly powered, not sure of the exact color, but there are plenty of +12V wires under the dash.

Thanks.
The only electronics I ever installed to a car myself is a head unit, speakers, and some LEDs(that you can set to blink, flash, etc.) that I wired into the OEM security. These were all done to my previous cars. I haven't done anything to my TL yet.
How hard would you say it is to install a shock sensor?

Is there a hood pin? You can splice the (-) output from the sensor to any available (-) input on the alarm. Are there no (-) input on the alarm at all?
Just remember to use diodes if there are more than one trigger connected to the input on the alarm.
How come you didn't get a dual stage sensor? I wonder where the pre-warn wire will connect to.
