I just called XM to extend my 90 free trial, and they said that I had to wait until the trial expired before I could use the promo code. So hopefully, it will still be vaild once my trial expires in a few months.

COOL! THE OFFER IS STILL GOOD!
I just signed on for the 1 year at $60, plus an MD state tax, if applicable. My trial period ends on 2/27, and the year starts at that point. The girl who helped me was friendly & helpful, and gave me no problems at all.

No problem with $60/yr
I just got the best XM rep that has ever lived!! I mentioned my new TL and the ZWINBACK MYP1 promo code and he knew about it right away. He said he would put that in and it would start right after my 3 months is up. He signed me up for web access also. I was already in the system becasue my dealer activated my XM. Call and ask for him and he will hook you up. Nicest guy really. Here is his info:
1-800-929-2100
Matt Mcclary - RepID# 2488
Now to just figure out the XM radio sections from the steering wheel and the XM presets. Not very intutive.

Guys, What do I have to say exactly to get this. Just the promotion code or make up a story like "My dealer told me about this offer"...
I just bought my TL so my trial is not over till May 12th....

The WINBACK offer is still good!! My three month trial ended yesterday, called today and they accepted the offer with no problem! She did mention that XM will have a price increase starting April 1. $12.95/month. Therefore, I suggest you all don't put off the offer past the end of March.

Offer is still good... My 90-day trial ends on 3/14. I had my extended starting 3/14 for $60 (no tax).
I was on hold for 16 minutes the first time (had to hang up), and 10 minutes the second time. He said that because of the rate increase they've had a lot more phone calls.

How are some of you getting with NO TAX?
Anyway here is what I got 2 years for $179.88 + 26.xx for tax.... This gives me my one year for $60 + tax and 2nd year at the 9.99+tax .
The tax is what killed it for me, I really didnt have money for this but hey... She sweat talked me into it with all the "You will save" crap... Basicly I just got first year for $60 and locked my 2nd year in for the old $9.99... If another promo ever happens I will cancel the account and reopen and use code, lol... Everything going up in price, these days... It should NOT cost this much for some MUSIC but dang I got hooked on it...

You guys are awesome! I picked up my '05 TL on Saturday 2/26 and just now called to extend the XM subscription for a year using the winback code. It worked perfectly! $60, no tax, and no grief! I'm good 'til 5/26/06!
I never would have known about this if it weren't for this forum.

I just got it!!!!! I was a little nervous at first because I got a new operator on the phone. The floor manager came over to show him how to give it to me. It starts at the end of my free trial period, one month from now. I didn't even need the promo code. I could hear her telling him "its an MYP". I just told him I got a new car with XM and the dealer said they were running a $60 offer. However, he said I could not lock in a second year for $9.95/month. He did confirm the price is going up in April. My dad told me he thought he read an article saying that XM was having financial problems.

Just signed up with the WINBACK promo code. The lady punched in the code and it came up and she used it.. She tried to sell me mulitple years for a discount off the $9.95 rate.. I was like yeah right who knows what kind of promo's will be going on next year or if they will still be XM.. Not going to throw away money without some reassurance.

Worked like a charm. Bought my TL 02/18/05 and called today to extend. Rep told me that they would send me an invoice for $60 in about 7-10 business days. Even better, she told me that because my initial service was set to expire on May 18th, that I didn't even have to send payment in right away!

I just got off the phone with Sara Perry from xmradio, I asked her about the $60 win back promotion; she acted like she didn't know anything. She then asked me what promotion I was referring to and when I mentioned the ZWINBACK MYP1 promotion code she knew exactly what I was talking about (albeit she was hesitant). She put me on hold a few times, and when all was said and done she gave me the 1-year membership for $60. She even credited me the $30 I just paid for the quarterly payment I made (my trial period ended Feb. 25)
DON'T DELAY CALL 1-800-929-2100 TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I just called, on hold for about half an hour. My trial expired 2 weeks ago on my TSX, I told the lady I wanted to reactivate for the $60. She said I didn't qualify and how did I hear about it. I said I got a flyer in the mail, she was surprised I got something in the mail. She put me on hold and I got scared so I hung up. I called about a month ago and also got rejected. She never even tried to ask for a promo code.

XM $60 is still good 3-5-05
I too am in Southern California and I just got off the phone with XM. When you call, press 0 and you will finally get a live body, give them your current info but ask for the RETENTION DEPARTMENT. You will be placed on hold again, they will finally answer, give them your info again and then tell them that you want offer YMMV. The number to call is 800-967-2346. They will act like they don't know about it, tell them it is $60.00 oer year and that the dealer told you it is available. They will say oh yes, but, you must pay the $60.00 upfront and it is only good for 1 year. So, no problem, give them the credit card number abd you are off and running. I will say that you must have patience, be nice but firm, and in about 15 minutes you will have it completed. Good luck!

I just made the call to the 1-800-967-2346 number. On the first call I asked the CSR if I could get the ZWINBACK $60 promotion considering that I was only 2 weeks into my 3 month trial period. I was straightforward with my situation and told her I was very concerned about the price increase and was anxious to lock in the lower rate. The CSR said that it wasn't a valid code for my situation but she would ask her supervisor. The supervisor said no. I asked to be switched to the retention department and after a 10 minute wait ended up with the standard pool of CSRs again. I went through the same process of radio code, address and explanation. This time she didn't even ask for the promotion code. I think the prior CSR recorded the info in my account log. Again, she had to ask her supervisor but this time the answer came back yes. So now I'm golden for another 14 1/2 months.
How much do you think it will cost to renew for another year in May of 2007?

Traded in an '04 TL, was told the $60 rate wouldn't transfer to my "05 TL. Called last night, told lady I got a letter. Lady told me a lot of people are claiming they got a letter in the mail and the only way you can have the promotion is if you got an email or a phone call. I called this morning, ready to say I got a phone call and told the guy that I wanted the promotional rate and he said, " What? the Zwinback promotion? No problem" Will kick in after my trial ends.

Yep! just renewed my subscription with the winback promo code fo r$60. The guy on the phone made me read out the complete code (ZWINBACK MYP1), which I did.
He sounded a little disappointed that he didn't get me for the multiyear deals...told him I'm a year-to-year kinda guy!

I first called and tried the WiNBACK promo and they told me I didn't qualify. Nothing I did would let that guy give me the $60. SO I called back and tried the YMMV code and the guy said I had to talk to retention so they transferred me to them and I talked to a nice lady who said that isn't even a code they use, but she would be happy to extend to me the $60 a year offer.
SO I guess just hope to get lucky or keep calling back until they offer you the $60 a year. Be warned though that it WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT THE HIGHER RATE IN 1 YEAR.
BTW, cause I live in FL I had to pay $9 in taxes so it came to $69. What a nice #

After 15 minutes on hold before even speaking to the first customer service representative...
Told no problem getting the zwinback promotion for $60, even though my subscription doesn't expire til end of April. I just got the letter in the mail to lock in for $120 for one year...so $60 works for me.
The only thing he wanted to know was where I heard about the offer...

Just got it!
I called to get a refund because they charged me even though I'm supposed to be in my 90 day free trial. After the rep processed the credit, I told her that last time I called XM I had mentioned that I had both XM and Sirius, and that I was planning on sticking with Sirius and that they had told me to talk to the "Retention Dept" about a $60 for 1yr offer. (Not true, of course). She said "I can give you that, especially because of the billing error. You will have no charges until May, when your 90 free trial ends, then you will be billed $60"
How great is that?
ATTENTION: It still works! Get it while it lasts!
BTW, she told me that all the changes that go into effect next month, i.e, free online access to XM content and free Opie and Anthony, also apply to those who signed up for the $60 promotion.
Cheers,
Jason

I got it! I just said "I was told that I was eligible for the $60 renewal offer, can you hook me up?" The CSR said that the offer will start after my trial period ends next week. It was so easy! No need to make up stories, just state what you want. Good luck.

Yet Another Wrinkle...
Okay, I don't think I've heard anyone describe this scenario yet:
I just called 1-800-874-9786, and after about 10 minutes, was greeted by a woman named Jasmine. I explained that my three-month trial ends later this month, and asked if they still had a "$60 for one year" offer available. She knew it right away, but referred to it as the "Cruise Package" (which I don't think I've ever heard of, but fine with me!).
What blew my mind is the fact that she was *also* pushing multi-year deals to lock in current prices, and that they would start *after* my first year at $60! Ultimately, the skeptic in me ended up settling for one extra year for $119.88, so it works out to an average of $7.50 a month for 24 months. They didn't even require a credit card up front, and offered to invoice me for the total of $179.88. If the invoice reveals any more details, I'll post them once it arrives (supposedly in 5-7 days).
I wish this whole thing didn't smell to me like a frantic grab for up-front cash by a company in an unproven market, or I might have ordered another year or two...

Worked for me today. I immediately asked for "the retention department" and told the retention agent that I got the ZWINBACK promotion code from my dealer. The first thing she then asked was "is that the $60 for a year plan" :-D She never asked about what type of dealer that gave me the code, nor what type of car I had. The $60/yr plan whould be applied to my account when my trial expires.
