Any one had any experience removing the NAVI trunk unit on an '04 TL? I need to send it in to Alpine and get it repaired. Has anyone had experience doing this? Thanks
I have exp installing one since i added it to my car. Just remove the trunk liner on the right side and then there are 4 screws mounting it to the floor. then just unplug and voila.

Hey Indy04TL, would you have the contact information for Alpine? I had my disk drive replaced at the dealer though warranty and then about 8 months later it died again and the dealer won't fix it for me, so I need to get in touch with Alpine to get something done. Thanks in advance!!

Easy just like the op posted only 4 screws hold it in place. Just unscrew the trunk liner taps. I had a drive repaired by alpine way back when I did my navi conversion, in my 04 tl. It took a few weeks but the fixed it. Originally Posted by eduble2

About 100 threads with people doing this or asking how. It's easy...pull the carpet, unbolt the unit, send to alpine. Don't forget to take the disc out. There's a thread on this same page with the phone number, address, AND a how to video.

Looks like some others furnished you the info about Alpine. It did take a few days to get the unit fixed and returned (they were out of a part, in my case). But it has worked great since I reinstalled it. PM me if I can help in any way.Originally Posted by eduble2
