Razr Maxx (Verizon), will it work on TL 04?

New version of Razr that just came out for Verizon. It is not listed in on the Acura www.handsfreelink.com yet.

Replacing the E815 this month and the short list is a VX8700 or a Razr Maxx.

I have an '04 and just got the Maxx to replace my E815. I could not pair the phone with the TL. Then again, the BT module in my TL had been acting funny lately (i.e. sometimes it doesn't power on, phonebook lost and unable to re-add contacts), so I cannot say definitively that the Maxx is not compatible.

Razr Maxx ve works with 07 TL.

I haven't tried the maxx with an 04 but the 07 works like a charm.

Also would like to know about the vx8700 if possible.... may trade in if it works with the 07

I was under the impression that any blue tooth phone will pair with the hands free. Every BT phone I have tried works great in my 04

Nope, not all phones are created equal. Handsfreelink.com (link from above) will let you know which phones are and are not compatible.

Anyone try a Razr Maxx in an 06? My V710 is starting to look pretty shabby and my
"new every two" credit with Verizon is ready for me to claim!

I was able to pair a Verizon store demo Razr Maxx to my 06TL, and got signal and battery strength on the MID display. Not a real world test, but nice to know that much works. I'll probably pick one up around the end of summer, or sooner if my V710 dies.

I picked up the MAXX to replace my E815 about a week ago and it works perfectly fine with my 05 TL, both battery and signal strength shows up on MID.

I got my RazrMaxx last week and I have already noticed that there no popping sounds when the Handsfree system initiates a call like the V710 did. It also links with the Handsfree system faster if the phone was off or the bluetooth was off after the TL is started and then turned on.

Wait and buy the new Razr2

the new razr is amazing. Better quality build made with metal, rubber and plastic. Very thin sleek design.
