bypass the factory amp and use that signal to your new sub.
Get a sub. JL's are good, kickers, focal...
the stock speakers are really good
with a sub, adjust the eq levels to
Bass: -2
Treble: 1
Mid:C
Fade:C
Subw: -2 or C

Thats what I have mine at and it sounds good.

dis-regard Caiman's false statment...

the OEM amplifier DOES NOT have rca style connections it does however have a multi pin molex going into the OEM amp....you will need to cut only the front L+R, Rear L+R and Sub Mono signals...then buy some decent quality RCA y connectors...the ones with 2 female connectors...cut off the male portion and direct solder to the signal wires from the radio...this way you don't have to cut your long and expensive rcas...also if you decide to add a sound processor or eq...you can just plug and play to your hearts desire...

i've done this in my own personal car...and as long as you don't cut the center channel signal set...you'll be good...center speaker will still work and the front RCA's do indeed cut out during a nav interupt..

hope that helps...if you have any further question feel free to reply or PM me

-Jason

also...there is not standard 12v trigger from remote turn on at the amplifier...it is a 5v digital turn on...just pull your remote wire from an accy wire at the ignition harness...please refrain from using fuse taps...

6 x 9's r a no go in a TL...

find inexpensive 6.5 inch coax...regular 2 ways work just find in there...focus on putting the best you can afford up front...that's where you're going to make the biggest difference...
