Your fuses always are supplying voltage to the units they power, it's just that the units are not always drawing current.

You need to remove the lower dash (very straightforward) and find the BLACK/YELLOW ignition wire or the BLACK/RED or WHITE/RED accessories wires (there are two, tap either wire) ..

these will therefore only supply power in the event that the ignition or accessory circuits are powered. And make sure you use a fuse in-line with your power supply for the V1 ...

Just hardwire it to the sunroof switch right above. Simple and easy. The unit draws so little power that its unnecessary to put it on a fuse. I understand why you want to, but its not necessary.

I knwo the search has been not workign lately.. but all you have to do is ground it to any one of the bolts up there and then figure out which wire is hot up there.. and if memory serves correct I wanna say its the green wire w/ stripe but I'm not 100% so if you have a meter.. just test it and that should be it..you're good to go.

Radar detector will shutoff after 30 seconds of takign the keys out of the ignition or once you open the door.. because remember power is still running in the car to roll any windows up and stuff for 30 seconds or door opening, whichever comes first.

This will take you no more than 15 mts. do from start to finish no joke. I did it in the dealers parkign lot after I took delivery with the salesman watching and learning... Haha. And you can tuck all wires right up there as well so no need to run anything down any pillars and such. Simple and easy.

Mine has been working fine for months, no fuses.

I ended up putting mine just t the right of the rear view mirror and hardwireing it to the mirror wired. Works great and hides well.

I remember there was someone who had a radar detector in the front of the TL behind the grill? That looked really cool because no one could see it from outside. I can't find the link though. Anybody know if it's worth it? Easy to install?

R u sure it was a radar detector and not a laser shifter/jammer thingies? The Blinder mounts up in the grills, and it has to..the only way for it to work? If it was a radar detector, then I want to see pics.. very curious now.
