This has been discussed before:

I believe most people came to the conclusion that it would be far too complex to do, as so many different things would need to be replaced. Of course, since you have a scrap one available, I imagine it could be done as long as you don't mind your TL being out of commission for a little while.

Yikes!!

You realize you'll be replacing the entire dash and components. What does the salvage yard want for all those parts? My guess would be its a lot more than the 2g's you would have paid for a factory navi to begin with so there's no way you'll get any pay back on this.. Unless your a lot better mechanic than most of us I'd say leave it alone. The likelyhood you could pull this off with everything lining up and nothing rattling are pretty slim.
If you do it post some pics, I'm sure we'd all like to see it.

Not to mention that your warranty will probably be blown out of the water! I talked to a guy at a California dealership and he said that it would be about 20 hours worth of shop labor (3 wiring harnesses behind the dash have to be changed). I wouldn't think would warranty much of anything on your car if you did the work yourself 'cause its a major mod.

The problem is navi is not an option in Canada with the 6 speed. That is the only reason I am concidering it.

I heard the 05 come with the navi option.

you are much better off just to buy a MidasPADor mobilenote (8.4in LCD Pda) and CF GPS cards! it is cheaper than try to converting
