My 06 w/ factory nav resets the dash clock to 1:00 by default when power is restored. That is how I set the clock. I will not give up the nav hacks.
I set my clock a few days ago using the disconnect battery method at 1:00 that almost everyone here seems to like. Now It's getting a minute slower every couple of days.
The bulletin says that other things might be broken as well: traffic info, detour guidance, navigation destination history. And AcuraLink with auto daylight saving adjustments, but nobody would care about these two that much I guess. All of this will not be fixed in August by itself, only clock functionality will.
Sounds like hardware fix that @DogP described is the only way to go! That will fix all the issues, not just the clock.

I noticed that as well. I had reconnected my battery about one minute late, but figured no big deal. In just a few days, I was behind by 3 minutes! At least it's keeping good time now. :-)
Long on-going issue, but just thought I'd throw my observations in one spot for the benefit of others. These are the observations from an '06 with NAV - with the final (2014) available disc.
I am also guessing we will never see any fix for this issue - it's been around since at least Jan 2021 (for the 04-06 owners)?
That said, it's wild how many Honda vehicles now have clock issues - looks like 2022 forced another round of issues - on lots of Honda Motors models? Also, seems like the 07/08 issue seems related to those other Honda models?
And the "wait until August 17th" won't offer any joy for 04-06 owners? That's my guess? Guessing more people will now know about "clock issues", and just point to August 17th?
That being said, my '06 also resets to 01 Jan 2002 - so, who knows? Sigh..
So, for my 06 TL, I do the "Pull Fuse #7" approach - and not the battery.
Fuse #7, in the Driver's side foot well, is a 7.5A (red) fuse, labeled "Backup" on the fuse layout key.
I pull it at 12:59 and re-inserted it at 1:00.
Timing is clearly correlated to plugging it back in - there is some information out there that says one has to then turn on the ignition for it to take effect - not the case.
If you pull it, it WILL reset your MID "Trip Computer" data and your "Trip A" and "Trip B" readings. You will lose that stored data upon pulling this fuse.
But, it does NOT necessitate one re-entering their NAV or Radio codes! (Pulling the battery cable does that) - nor clear any of that data / presets.
Finally, this method does NOT require any amount of time for it to work - meaning, there are some thread suggestions one has to pull fuse, or battery connection for 15 minutes for this to work - not the case.
Pull it, stuff resets. Plug it back in, the clock immediately starts up at 1:00:00.
I noticed that as well. I had reconnected my battery about one minute late, but figured no big deal. In just a few days, I was behind by 3 minutes! At least it's keeping good enough time now. :-)
Mine was 4 minutes slow about a week ago, but now it's 9 minutes slow.
Sounds like not doing the battery trick and waiting until the August reset is the best option - at least I know the clock is exactly one hour ahead, but if I mess with the battery and the clock starts wandering all over the place I will literally have no idea what time it is when I'm in the car - I don't own a watch.
I don't know why you guys are doing the whole battery disconnect when the procedure below does in fact work...but to each their own. Unless I am missing some benefit of doing the battery method over this?

Nothing new, really. Disconnect the battery, reconnect to set the time. The big issue I see now is that we'll have to forever manually set DST. So dumb.
[QUOTE=DMZ;16684524]Got tired of waiting for Acura to get off their asses, so I purchased a '07/8 screen and Nav DVD drive on ebaY. Got an adaptor for the screen from Martin in FL to be able to plug in (retrofit) the newer screen. What a difference! Not only does the clock and calendar now work correctly, but the new graphics and functionality are a dream. It's much faster on bootup too! I highly recommend those of you out there with an '04/5/6 TL with Navigation to do the same thing. You'll NEVER look back! An updated 2021 version of the white disk is coming out next month to boot!
I'm now have a TL with all the things we were supposed to have for 2004. Daytime running lights, a Backup Camera, '07/8 Turn Signal Mirrors, and the '07/8 Nav system.
could you please tell me where you mounted your backup camera? I have 2004 tl and bought a navtool navrgb 2.0 backup camera harness. Thinking of following ur suggestion to go with 2007 set up for nav and nav dvd. Per my instructions the backup camera harness works with 2007 to 2008 tl set up. Thanks for your posting.
Before drilling holes in trunklid for camera mount,
want to make sure I don't mess up. Thx

Paul, our star master mechanic here in Nawth Jerzy made a custom mount right above the license plate frame.

I've done that at exactly 1:00 a week later the clock is 2 minutes off.
I've also updated to a 2007 display and dvd drive still can't adjust the clock.

Could you please tell or show me where you mounted your back up camera? I have a 2004 tl nav and am thinking of trying to put the 2007-2008 nav screen and dvd player in as you suggest. Thanks much for your post.
I bought one of these cameras from Amazon, then the whole frame where the license plate is I took it part. near the license plate lights I drilled a hole for it to mount.

My clock messed up too a few weeks ago.. First time ever! And I have had my car since 2007. Mine is 1 hour slow. And it will not change! I tried to manually adjust it, and it rolls back to 12:00.. but the time is consistently 1 hour and 5minutes slow.
I noticed it right after I disconnected the battery to replace the Starter!
The other day my clock was one hour behind the EST time.
I read the owners manual but was unbale to fix the problem including the manual adjustments.
I called USA Honda and spoke with a team member and he indicated that this problem even exits for newer ACURA models including 2019 and 2020 MDX and RDX.
It is a software problem and they are working on a fix.
Unlike newer models they cannot send a fix via the internet which my 2008 TL does not have internet capabilities.
They took my email and cell number and said they will contact me when a new CD will be sent with the software fix,
Nice that ACURA is still providing an update to a 14 year old TL.

I heard you can disconnect and reconnect the battery at a time that is preferred to automatically adjust it, and get it close to the actual time. Since my clock stays on 12pm, and even when I try to increment it manually, it goes to 1pm, then bounces back to 12, I am thinking about disconnecting and reconnecting my battery tomorrow at 12noon.
Because when I changed my starter, I know it was a during the day, and it was noonish or afternoon. I'm betting that I reconnected my battery at 1:05 actual time, and my system keeps reversing it back to 12. So I am off by 1 hour and some change.. So, that seems to fit. I will see if that works tomorrow. Better than waiting forever

I just did this on my 08 TL-S and worked fine, nice to have the correct time back. Guess this is a better "fix" than Acura is offering which is nothing.
Unplugging the battery twice a year is not too bad as long as you have navi and radio codes.
I just started reading this thread. My 07 TL-S' calendar is showing 2002, so I don't think the 07 Nav unit is the fix. Maybe it had 14 years of runway and hit the same wall, just in 2022?

I have a 2006 TL NAV. my calendar stopped working in dec. 2020. It is showing 2002 also. Also my clock in the nav unit shows 0:00 and can not reset. The clock in upper dashboard is one hour behind and no way to adjust. I think the calendar and nav unit are linked together with this problem. Since the nav clock is stuck on 0:00, the calendar has no way of knowing when to change the date when midnight comes.
