ISIM73 help
I am looking to get the ISIM73 kit for my 2008 TL. I find it dangerous to change tracks on iPod while driving so I did some research and found the ISIM73 kit is the best. However I don't understand why the prices are so different.
I can get it refurbished for $17, new for $68 on Amazon or pay $129 at Bestbuy.
http://www.amazon.com/ISIM73-iSimple...3341246&sr=1-1
This ISIM73 kit will allow me to see/control the songs through the steering wheel correct? That is all I need to know before I order. Thanks!

yeah.... takes about 15-30 min. you unplug the xm plug off the back of the radio plug that into the isimple harness then plug the harness into the back of the radio where you unplugged the xm. Then run your ipod cable to wherever you want and viola done.
alot of people say it can be done without removing any panels by laying their head up where the gas pedal is and you can see the back of the radio to do it but i found it was easier and faster to just remove the side panel. Plus with the side panel off you have more options to place the brain of the isimple.

Wow that sucks. I just got it new off Amazon for $50 shipped. And it shipped the next day.
Garrett: I guarantee when you answered my question in that thread last week, you personally sold that guys stock. That's why it's a tad more expensive and why I'm glad I jumped on it. Lol
And Bestbuy charges so much because install is included in that $175 price.

I just installed the ISIM73 in my car and it works perfectly except it won't charge the phone... so i bought the passport thing that will convert it to charge my iphone 4....
I wasn't sure if this was the right way to do it... has anyone else solved this?

I just sold my iSim73 to a member on this forum.
I notice that you have a 2008 TL like me. From what i understand, the iSim73 will work with 04-06 TL out of the box. If you have an 07-08 TL you will need to purchase a new harness which isn't NOT included with the iSim73. I can be wrong but you should probably do some research on this. I believe the new harness is about $50-$60.
Just a heads up.
