iSimple problem ISIM73

I picked up an Isimple ISIM73 off Amazon in "Like New" condition last week, it arrived yesterday, and I got it put in today.

Pulled the console apart, put harness in, hooked unit up, hooked phone up to unit.

It won't display any Aux stuff when I switch through audio inputs. I have an 06 TL w/ Navi/XM. I tried FM/XM/knob, but nothing happened. I tried madly pressing "Mode" on the steering wheel, and nothing. Going through the navi to change input modes doesn't show me anything new. XM preview works, as do FM/AM. The phone says that the device isn't optimized for the phone, so it DOES detect it, or it at least triggers that popup when it senses something plugged into the bottom. It doesn't charge.

I saw in another thread how to reset it (I've raked this forum and Google/Bing for solutions, but no dice) via dipswitch, but got nothing. Apparently it was installed professionally in an 04 Accord before, as the seller left the invoice in the box. Install date was November of 2010. No clues for removal reason. Hell, it might not even be this unit that was installed, maybe another was thrown in the box.

I have the original aluminum backed iPhone with the latest updates.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Anything I should try? Is it busted?

Thanks

You're suppose to press the xm button then turn the right knob

^ You have a few seconds to turn the tune knob after you hit the XM button on the dash, or "mode" to it from the steering wheel. It should go through Aux 1, Aux 2, iPod and XM. After you pick the one that you want, you need to wait a few seconds to control the device after the select mode times out.

If you want to change to a different source, then you need to leave the XM channel and go to FM/CD/Tape and then come back in.

Just went back out, and there are no options for Aux1, Aux2 or Ipod.

Here are the processes I tried:

1. Car into accessory mode without iphone plugged in
-Plug in iphone, immediately press XM, and then turn tune knob wildly - same as before
2. Car into accessory mode with iphone plugged in
-As soon as the radio kicks on, press XM, then turn knob. Note that it doesn't talk about my device or airplane mode.

When I turn the knob, it cycles through my XM stations. When I press mode, it goes from AM to FM to XM to off, no CDs are in the changer.
