iSimple or iSim73 for non-Navi non-XM car? Solution?

iSimple or iSim73 for non-Navi non-XM car? Solution?
2006 TL base. Canadian car without XM or navi.
Can I still hook up iPod to it?
Isim73 says it needs the XM. Is this true?
Tried a search but no pertinent results.

I have an 06 Canadian TL.
I installed isim73 a few weeks ago. It works fine. To switch to ipod mode you use the "Mode" button on the steering wheel.
Even though we dont have XM radio, the funciontality is still there in the head unit. Just follow the DIY threads on this forum and you'll have no problems. Isim73 definitely works on our car.
