hooking up dom unit on 07 TL-S...need advice

my buddy had a 07 TL-S and i was wondering if i need a blitzsafe unit to hook up the audio cables to the headunit. I have the dom unit hooked up in my 03 TL-S and wondering if its the setup for the 3g TL. a DIY would be very helpful. i have searched and havent found too much info.

thanks

The '07 TL-S has an aux input already so technically, you can use that to hook up the audio of whatever media device you're trying to install.

If you don't want to go that route, then there are several modules you can add.

A lot of this is summarized here: 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ

There is nav tv.com that sells a module that allows people to use an external dvd player with the existing navi screen and backup camera for $300. That's what I have and works great.

S1CK TypeS already has this unit. Dom = TVandNav2Go.

Other than the dom unit, which only provides a video interface to the factory system, you will need an audio interface. Thus he asked about the Blitzsafe unit.

I was the first to do this to the Type S back in november, its the same module as all 3rd gens. I used the blitzsafe module, hasnt failed me yet. And of course it is compatible with the back up cam and nav and all that stuff.

You should really check out the 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ.
