Head unit swap for the 07 tl.

Yea so today i got the 07 TL for a loaner. The stereo in the 07 sounds so much better then in my 04. Just wondering has any body swap the stock 04 head unit for the 07? Love that Dolby pro logic 11 in the 07.

Not yet. Theres been a few discussions on it, but at the end of it all, it would cost too much to swap. You want to be the first?

also the software itsaelf has changed and also maybe some of the harnesses due to the extra aux input. Also it has dolby digital in in and also a noise canceling system that uses mics at the front and back to quiet the inside of road noise.

Where'd you get this information?

1) Only the TL-S comes with Active Noise Cancellation

2) Both the Tl and Type-S come with an "Aux-In", but its only a stereo aux in... Niether come with a Dolby Digital 5.1 "in", except on a DVD-A DVD.

Odds are a retrofit of the stereo (from an 07 TL to a previous model) is completely plug and play, other than the two wires that would run from the radio to the Aux in port in the console.

The 07 type-s system actually sounds much better than my previous 06. The type-s sounds much more rich and clear.
