Head Unit Sound and 3Sixty

I just had my stock system upgraded with the 3sixty so I could keep the stock head unit. An install shop did the work, so I'm not sure exactly how they set up the 3sixty, but the sound isn't very consistent. CDs, radio, and XM all have completely different sounding EQ and XM is really quiet. Anyone else have this problem with the stock head unit?

Also, looks like I'll want to tweak the 3sixty myself. Can anyone recommend the cheapest Palm device that can be used? I'm not even sure where to start look as far as models.

how did they set it up? i just did a TL with the 3sixty, and being that hte stock heaudnit is pretty flat, you want ot set it up as "aftermarket deck" option, not OEM flattening.

Not sure how they set it up. I'm assuming if you're having issues then it's not the head unit or the 3sixty. I've only got the 3sixty1, so maybe I need the extra control of the 2.

it could be a wide variety of things to be honest, without knowing exactly how they instaled it, and tuned it, its hard for me to say. what did you all get installed?

all i know is, every TL i have done have sounded pretty darn nice. as you will read in the install i just didposted right belowt this thread, i wasnt overly impressed with the SQ of the 360.2.

but...it sholdnt be doing what you are describing.

I found the problem. The goofy Dolby was on. As soon as I turned it off the sound came to life and the CD/FM/XM are all well balanced. I can't believe the install shop spent all that time on tuning up the system without seeing if Dolby was off or not.
