Question Fuse Tap!

Hello, I have a question for all expert out there. I just completed hard wiring my Escort Solo S2 and tapped it into the radio fuse. My question is, do I have to power the radar on & off each time I start the car or is there any other way? BTW, I don't have a switch hook up. Thanks for your response in advance!

what number is the radio fuse?

I would tap into #32 (the ACC fuse). your radar will turn on automatically when you start the car and shut off when you turn off the car.

Since the Solo S2 is a battery operated detector, yes, you will need to power it on manually every time you get in the car. It will turn off when you turn the car off.

I have the Solo S2 hardwired in my wife's Mecedes and it has to be turned on each time after she starts the car.

Thanks for your response!

When I turned the ignition off and pulled the key out the radar was still on.
