Factory Backup Camera to aftermarket head unit?

I'm having the Alpine ILX-007 put into my 07 Type S w/Nav next weekend.

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.

Does the factory backup camera have a standard output so that I can just plug it into the video-in of the Alpine, or do I need a whole new camera with new wiring?

Yes, I will. $1050 total, tax included. $600 is the head unit. The $450 install includes custom install since they don't make brackets/kits for an aftermarket double-din for the TL.

Yes, I have seen all of those. That's only the bezel and not the mounting brackets.

The only place in the country that makes and sells the entire kit with all needed parts for the 3G TL is here:
2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 ACURA TL DOUBLE DIN DASH KIT

That is $229 w/steering wheel control interface -- about the same I am paying my shop to make one, so it's a wash.

Hey OP,

A couple of us who have or are looking to do the Nexus 7 Tablet integration have been asking this same question. We would think with the pin-out that you can simply splice on a RCA plug onto the video input, splice power to reverse and it should theoretically work.

Is it standard, chances are no.

Is it possible that you can get it to work with some ingenuity? I think I can safely say yes. Please try and report back to let us know!

I did a quick search on my phone at the time, I saw the pic with the bracket, but didn't realize it didn't have it. other listings do like this one

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aftermarket-Radio-Installation-FRAME-AND-BRACKETS-Kit-for-Acura-TL-2004-2008-/361224630173?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item541aaa6f9d&vxp=mtr
looks like it's $45 shipped. is this what you would need? or is there something else i'm missing?

You guys do know you don't need to spend a ton of money on a kit right?

https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/truth-about-installing-aftermarket-radio-into-3g-tl-747353/

Not to mention I haven't seen a kit that properly trims out the center stack, seen a few custom jobs that look good though.
