E-Bay Smoked Sidemarkers...

I just ordered the Dice ipod kit and I figured since I would be in my trunk disconnecting the XM brain (I still don't know where it is so if anyone wants to send pics, it would be greatly appreciated) it would be a good time to install some smoked sidemarkers. Has anyone had any experence with the cheaper ones on e-bay? They are offering smoked front and back but I only need the back one so I would probably save the fronts for another day. Let me know what you think.

Those lights have a "crystal" type of lens that in theory would look good especially if you blacked/cleared your headlights. The OEM lenses we have are diffused with a frosted-like appearance. I saw the Ebay ones in person a few times, the chrome ones and the blacked out ones and I am not impressed. Sorta looks cheap and out of place. The OEMs look more natural and flows much better in that indented horizontal groove in the sides of our car. It blends in and retains a smooth appearance even if it doesn't exactly match our headlight mods.

Sorry guys, the link is for the clear ones. I was talking about the smoked sidemarkers but you bring up a good point. The reason why they sell all four corners is probably because the rears look entirely different from the OEM fronts. I looked at the feedback on the seller and it looks like he sold quite a few TL lights and I was hoping that one person was on the site that could comment.

They look great!

I purchased the Combo on Ebay with the Type S Tails and the 4 side markers....all OEM Honda (acura) parts and they look fantastic.

Those look great. That seller also offers a replacement S type rear light assembly as a kit.
1) Are they cheapos or will they work fine?
2) Is there a DIY on tail light R&R plus the Markers?

I found the DIY for side markers (easy) but what about the tail lights?

I think proudTLpapa was talking about all OEM lenses he got on Ebay Not the aftermarket sidemarkers you are talking about RC51. (I think the are made by DEPO) I think they would look good only if you have NBP.

proudTLpapa is this what is on your car?

You are right. I will read more carefully next time. If they won't match, I will get the OEM ones but I was hoping to save some coin if I could.

Dunno why this is in the audio section.
But anyways I bought the whole depo package from ebay. Tails and cleared sides. Honestly, I think they are shit quality. The tails dont fit as they should. Very small gap on one side, its unnoticable unless you look for it but its there. And get this, one tail light had something rattling inside it! LOL fuckin ghetto. It gets better, the side markers fitment is shit. The fronts are okay, but the rears have gaps all around. The oem rear sides are tightly sealed to the car, you cant even get a fingernail in there. Not the case with depo sides, fucking gaps all around.

I got the whole package for less than what it would cost for just OEM tails. Cant really complain I guess, you get what you pay for. Someday I'll switch them out for OEM when I feel like spending money. I would say steer clear from ebay lights, spend the extra money and get the real deal. And DO NOT EVER buy ebay sidemarkers, they are utter garbage. Kinda ugly too, I'll take some pictures when I get the chance.

I placed it in the wrong section. Mods, please feel free to move it.

I have some e-bay sides in a box waiting for me at home. Nice to know that it was money well wasted. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

^^ Damn, I should've replied earlier. Well I took some pix today. Im taking the rear sidemarkers out tonight, they are ugly as shit and dont match with anything on the car.

Heres the ugly gap Im taking about.

Depos tails are actually fine if your not anal about slightly improper fitting. Again, dont buy the side makers!

I'll try to cheer you up lol. If you have the black sides, they will probably look decent on black car. They look REALLY good at night, cuz they are much much brighter. But like I said the fitment sucks. But with these, I think every batch is different, maybe you got a good one, hopefully lol.
