Lg Vx-8700

Just wanted to let you all know that the new LG VX-8700 works with the HFL. No issues to report thus far.

Question

Great to hear the phone works well with the TL. On a related note.. How do you like the phone? Who's your carrier? I have an older LG6000 w/Verizon and love it but it doesn't have BT. So i need to update.

So far I love the phone. Previously had the Razr and this phone is very solid. The 8700 is only available through Verizon.

You sure you're not referring to the 8600?

After 4 days with the phone...

Signal strength is great. Call clarity is AMAZING... much better than the razr. Screen is great, camera is 10x better, keypad is nicer to use and the outside screen is very cool. Interface is much better than the rzr (rzr seemed laggy)

I text a lot (4000+ a month) and the inbox can only hold 50 messages, so I have to dump them frequently. On the razr it would just hold them until I dumped them all, the phone would just get slower. Battery life seems to be less than my razr but still adequate for how much I use my phone in a day.

Im starting to have issues with my 8700. Now when I get in the car it doesnt pair up.

My 8600 did the same shit. If I cycle the phone it will pair up fine. I was in the middle of a call the other day and the car just dropped the phone. said "bluetooth audio device has been disconnected"

Theres something up with this phone. any thoughts?

I had this same problem. Verizon replaced the phone and now i can't pair at all. Any suggestions? Below is how i am pairing. Am i doing this right?

turn on BT on phone.
initiate pairing process on HFL
after saying the pairing key i hit the talk button and say ok
at that same moment i select add device on the phone and hit ok. after 3 secons later the phone says no devices found.

that is a lot of texting. Anyways, you can set the your inbox to auto-delete messages that exceed the limit. So if you have 50 in your inbox and you get a text, the phone will auto delete the oldest text in your in box.

I have the same phone. First day I bring the car home I pair it with no problems, probalby make a dozen calls that night, signal bar showed, smooth sailing, etc. Fast forward a day... couldn't get it to auto pair. Reset phone, no dice. Tried to repair, couldnt even get that to work ...
