Calling Dealer from Navigation system

Hi guys, don't know if it has been posted before, did a search couldn't find anything... Anyway, do any of you know how to change the phone # of the dealer the nav can call if you want it to?..There seems to be a preset number from the dealer the car was purchased from and I want to change it to the dealer I deal with now. Anyone know how to do this

thanks for your help

I wasn't aware this option existed. Perhaps it's something new on the newer TLs? Mine is a 2004.

i don't know about the older ones but when you get a maintenance code you get a message on nave screen and it tells you what's wrong there is an option to call dealer for an appointment when you hit the button on the screen it call the dealer it is programed with. I want to change that number. it is no where to be found

Is this Acura dealership the closest to you? If so, I would tell the Nav to find the nearest Acura dealership. Then each time you need to go to that dealership just go to menu and select Recent places because it would be saved until its bumped out. Hope that helps ya out.

Either that or set the dealer as a personal pre-set in the Navi-- but I got the TL instead of a 335i because I don't want to call or visit the dealer at all if I can avoid it.

thanks for your replies but i know all that already, the issue is that the navi has a dealer preset in there and when you get a diagnostic error the voice comes on and explains the error and there is a button to call the dealer, when you press that button the navi calls a dealer automatically but its not the dealer i want... i guess no one knows??

Been a long time but if I remember correctly..
Do a search for auto dealers\Acura. When you find the one you want, there will be an option to make that your permanent dealer. I have an 08 & had to change mine but it was over a year ago.

1) Find the desired dealer (Navi menu: Enter destination > places > find by category > Acura/Honda dealers) and enter it as a destination in the Navi.
2) Once a route to that dealer is calculated, cancel the route.
3) Push the Set-up button and go to screen 2 to enter the "personal address," which will allow you to select that dealer from the "prior destination" list.
4) The next time you get the Navi menu screen, you can select "personal address" to locate that dealer's info, call the listed number on the HFL or set a route there.

Same approach works to store any other personal addresses you may want.

More detailed instructions are in the Navi manual.
