Anyone have tricks to save Battery with V600?
My V600 seems to need a charge every day and I think the blue tooth really drains it fast. Does anyone have any tricks to save battery juice and increase life?
The Bluetooth definitely drains it fast and needing a charge every day is consistent with my experience. Other than turn bluetooth off (settings, connection, bluetooth link, setup, power:off) when you leave the car and turn it back on when you enter the car, I couldn't find anything else to save battery.
Tip - Set up a macro key
The V600 allows you to set up shortcuts. I have a short cut to turn on bluetooth and another to turn off bluetooth. It allows you to very quickly (two key taps) turn it on and off.
Not a perfect solution - but better than the manual process.

So just having bluetooth turned on the phone, is whats draining my battery, like when its on and Im at work inside or at home inside? Thats draining the battery too, as well as when its on in the car?
I also found that having the Bluetooth always on was killing the battery.
With the V600, you can power off the Bluetooth in the settings and then each time you are in the car, you can select HandsFreeLink in the Bluetooth menu and you will be asked if you want to temporarily power the Bluetooth. When you leave the car, and the Bluetooth disconnects, its seems to power off by itself, so I have not had to power if off manually.
This has definitely helped the battery life. I find that I need to charge less often this way.

as stated before i have bluetooth temp set on so when i get in the car with the engine on it automatically connects and when i leave the car it automatically disconnects, like i hear a sound. Is bluetooth still on in my case and will it drain my battery like everyone elses?

Regarding the question about temporarily turning on bluetooth, unless it's constantly looking for a signal, how would it know to turn on? It's the constant searching that causes the drain, as I understand it.

The icon disappears when I hear the beep so it seems like the bluetooth isn't active....my only concern would be how does it find the car again if it's not active...???? The battery does seem to last longer so something is going on here.
