Aftermarket stereos

Has anybody installed an aftermarket stereo in a third gen? I want one with a pop out screen. I didn't get a navi and I'm so upset about that and now I want some type of screen in my car? I was talking to an audio guy at circuit city but he told me it's not possible to do this in a third gen TL yet because there is no proper housing for the stereo. Is this true?

technically alot of ppl have just been buying the Navi and the plastic trim and installing themselves....however, such an install starts roving into the "advance" area...and based on your nervousness with the CAI, i'd say ....this is probably something you don't want to try...although there are a few REALLY good DIY guides on AZ...

btw, grats on the intake install, and uhh...honestly for upgrading your speakers and what not....it's straight money, just don't goto some of these shady guys on Northern Blvd and think you're getting hooked up...LOL

Have you checked out the 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ?

You can also find many threads with a keyword search for aftermarket.

Sunny, what exactly are you trying? I heard that we can hook up a 7 inch touchscreen to it and move the display units that we have now down to where the two compartments are...
