3GTL/2GRL Bluetooth Phones Compatibility...
Like someone told me in another thread, recent phones are probably too far apart in technology with the old HandsFreeLink of the 3G TL. You'll probably have to get a different Bluetooth system. I just received the iSimple I had ordered, so I'll be installing it soon.
It seems to be hit and miss. I had no problem pairing my S6 Edge with my 04 TL.
I realized my Bluetooth failed, so I will be replacing that capacitor tonight, hopefully will have good news tomorrow on the Nexus 5x.
I got the Nexus 6P a couple weeks ago and it paired (05 TL) but for some reason when I'm on a call and I tried to toggle over to Bluetooth it didn't work. Anyone got it an 6P working on their TL.
I do also have an isimple but I mainly use that for music streaming and I am able to stream on that. I haven't tried using the handfree function of that yet. Will try if its my only option.

You can go to the Acura site and find out what each generation can be paired to. I have a 3g and it will not par to any galixy after the s3 so I purchased an isimple from Discount car stereo and with a harness that they prepared 4 me I now have bluetooth and voice activated everything
Other members who have an iPhone 6 on iOS 9.3.1 have also been able to use the HFL-- see: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-a...ng-cid-945041/.
My Galaxy S7 pairs quickly but has some limitations. The voice command dialing is a 2 push button process from the steering wheel controls. Push one - beep heard then say ph# with area code / push 2 say "call." When I dial from my phone itself (while paired) It calls the number but the ringing is not audible. It will complete the call.
So, I'll make a contribution and then ask a question:
I have an 05 TL w/ Navi, and my Galaxy S5 pairs fine with no limitations in functionality. Didn't see this listed, and Handsfreelink website doesn't seem to have been updated for a LONG time, doesn't list anything after Galaxy SIII.
I am looking to upgrade my phone and interested in both Galaxy S7 or S8... I see above that godpossessed had it pair with S7, but with some limitations. Anyone try an S8 yet?

When someone calls you does their number show up in the MID (right under the text of 'Incoming call')? I just got the moto z2 play, and the number doesn't show up. On my previous phones it did.
