2007 TL Type S - Both Keys think they are driver 2

For some reason both keys think they are driver 2. I have tried linking and unlinking both keys by holding down the lock and unlock buttons but that had no effect. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Do both keys say D2 on the back of the fob?

No, 1 key says 1 and the other says 2.

I know this sounds stupid but did you start the car with each one independantly? My TL-S came with only Driver2 and the dealer had to order another Driver1. After I got it the car kept saying Welcome Driver 2 until I actually started the engine. If it still does not work, go back to the Dealer and they will have to reprogram. You lose the memory settings per driver if the car does not detect each respective key.

If starting the car doesn't work, you could try the programming instructions in this thread. They could have mixed up the keys and given you one from another car, so it was never programmed to your car. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89492

Thanks for the replies. Yes I did try starting the car with both keys. I have tried it about 10 times in the hope that one of these times it will fix the issue.

I talked to the dealership today and they recommended I bring the car in so they can take a look. I was hoping it would be something easy but it doesn't appear that is the case. I will try to find out from the dealer what was wrong in the hope of helping the next person with this issue.

Ron, are those instructions still valid for the 07 TL? My key and remote are one unit. Based on the instructions it looks like it used to be two seperate pieces.

yes they work, but you have to program the both keys at once with the one step saying program any other keys now by perssing the lock or unlock button.
