Paddle Shifters / Manual Mode

Yeah, yeah, I know... Should of got a manual! Believe me, I looked high and low, and couldnt postpone buying another car any longer. So here's my question:

Is there any way to tune the shift speed of the sequential gear box? I notice that when I up-shift, there's a slight delay before the gears actually change. Enough of a delay that you can over rev a gear if you dont pull the shifter well before redline. I havent noticed it on the down-shift, that seems to be pretty immediate.

No, can't control that. That's how it is on these cars, as far as AT i don't think you can really over-rev, there's a limiter it'll bounce off of so you can't really do that much harm to it.

I know it's just bouncing off the limiter, so I'm not overly concerned about damage. Plus, I usually only use M for holding gears in the twisties. Just trying to explore any options out there that would aid the 5AT performance wise. I'm actually surprised this issue hasnt been looked into already...

That's the exact definition of NOT over revving. The limiter stops you from doing so...

It's not an issue per se, it's made that way. Shift times can be reduced by doing a 3x3 and pressure switches and sometimes using a third party fluid instead of Honda DW1.
