06 navigation unit pinout to connect backup camera

I plan to give my 06 to my daughter, but before I do I would like to install a backup camera on the cheap.
Anyone do a DIY install?
I can't find a lot of info on 06 navigation unit pinout.
If anyone can confirm, I believe this is the process, please give feedback if anything is wrong:
  • 06 does not have a direct video input like 07 and and beyond models (any can confirm?)
  • 06 does not have the pins to jumper if you want to send a separate video feed to display
  • From all the searching I did, the only way to do this is to add a video switch
    • Switch will be used to switch between Navi unit or an external backup camera
    • Reverse light can be used to control the switch
  • I cannot find any pinout of the Navi unit
    • What pins and on what connector are used for video?
  • Are my assumptions above correct?
  • Does anyone know what connector is used? Can these be purchased from Digikey, Mouser or any online place? P/N and Manuf?
    • I will make a simple proto PCB with connectors and video/analog switch (or buy off the shelf one)
I am attaching a pic of my Navi unit, anyone can point out which connector and pins carry video?
Thanks,

Interesting not sure I understand completely how the nav unit can be used to power or input the camera, but if it can, great!

I have an 06 and went the route of a wireless cam from Amazon that is projected on your rearview mirror. Works great 8months after.
camera is small and behind your rear license plate. Wire and transmitter can be left in the trunk lid and connected to reverse lights. Turns on when the reverse lights do.

then they provide a rearview mirror which looks good IMO: can wire it stealthily through the hearliner, pillar liner and then under the seats to a 12v power source (I use one under armrest).

pretty cheap tbh and good wuality

I don't think the Nav unit have the connectors for the rear cam. In the wiring diagram there is no information about this.

Thanks for posting that pinout!
Is there a wiring diagram that shows which signals are video going to the head unit display? I can put a switch inline to that.
Also it skips over Connector D which is not connected, that must be the unconnected one in my picture.
Perhaps used by another Honda model for something and maybe that has some support for direct backup camera connection.

They use the RGB Dignal for Video from the nav unit. This is from the 2007 TL, so you can see the difference.
