Triggering Relay for Back Up Camera

Hi.

Cause of I could not find any interface modules in Europe, I decided to use back up camera's input for my touch screen controlled IGO navi project.
(Thanks to MyKL)

I spend about half hour to find correct cables and able to get image.
When switch gear to R, monitor shows my input source.

Does anybody know where is the switch or relay located for triggering Video Input from back up camera?

I tried to search forum but could not find the answer.

Sorry, I didn't understand what interface you could not find

I would recommend to consider OEM replacement monitor. If the project budget is limited, you can use input for back up camera.

Video Input from back up camera is in navigation unit that is activated by a signal BackLT (MICU)

Thank you for your reply.
I mean there are no video boxes (Like Navitool etc) in Europe.

I made my own cable and switch box which splits back up cam and my video input.
My only problem is triggering and looking for this.

So, where is it?

If you want to support OEM Cam, the scheme is slightly different

Or you can use the 12v going to the reverse light. I'm sure they are the same wire.

Thank you for your messages. I will try and share the result.

@oo7spy

I also thought that but reverse lights might be lit when I trigger it.

What do you mean "when you trigger it"? Don't you want it to trigger when you put the car in reverse?

No.

My car has stock back up camera . I'm gonna use cam's video input for my navi system.
I have already installed touch screen panel and tested; it's ok.

Bye..

Hello everybody.

I am new at this board. My name is Raimund and i own a Legend KA8 and a KB1.

@Türk
Are there no problems when you "manipulate" the reverse signal on the Navi? Because the Navi then thinks you are driving backwards.

Bye
