05 TL..Is the dealer the only one to reset the NAV PIN????
I just bought a 05 TL that was missing the Nav dvd. I bought a new 3.80 version and as I expected after it loaded, it would not let me go past the PIN. I tried several basic combos with no luck, now it is a BLANK screen and will not go to the PIN screen after the intro screen. I must of entered too many combos and it locked me out.
My question is, Is the dealer the only one who can reset this, or is there a way for me to do it. Can a Honda dealer do this also? Thanks

If you don't have an owner's manual, an on-line Acrobat file version is linked through the 3G TL Garage.
dammit, I dont have a code there, I had to take my trunk liner out and unscrew and flip over the navi unit in the trunk to find my serial #, then I had to use the acura ownerlink site to get my code....
so good find in the fuse box

Yeah, the location of the code isn't always consistent. Those stickers are added by the dealerships after the get off the trucks.
I've heard of them being under the coinbox/ashtray in some cars or the fusebox under the hood. Or in the glovebox.

Mine didn't have the code listed anywhere. I took the Nav drive out and someone had ripped the darn serial number sticker off. I had to send mine back to Alpine to be recoded. What a pain in the butt. Should be back in a couple days!
Go to the Acura Owner Link website and call the customer service. You need the VIN and proof of ownership unless you have already registered. I hacked my navi and needed to reset it and they provided me with the code
