04 TL stereo removal??

Question 04 TL stereo removal??

Any help or pics on how to remove nav headunit out of 04 TL would be very appreciated. Wanting to install my ipod integration but do not want to break any of the trim pieces. wondering if there is any tricks or how it comes out????

You really don't have to take out the head unit.. Just pull up the carpet on the side of the center console, remove the drivers side trim from the radio(start for the back, others aswell as myself used a butter-knife wrapped in cloth to pry it up). Then remove the plastic molding at your right knee.

It takes some manuevering, but a long enough flat head screw driving can get back there and pry out the clip(its white, the closest one to you)
