Bluetooth link keeps dropping

I've got a Verizon LG VX 8700 that has worked fine with my car's Bluetooth Handsfree, but just recently, things are acting up. The link between the phone and the car gets dropped in the middle of a conversation and not only. I'd called Acura and they said its the phone...I called the Verizon and they said its your car....Any ideas what is this happening?

Have you tried simply resetting everything? Delete your phone from the HFL then power cycle your phone and then setup your phone with the HFL again. Hopefully that works.

How is the battery in your phone?
My HFL connection started to act up when my prior phone's battery was dying. A new battery got everything back to normal.
I don't recall if my problem still occurred when the phone was plugged into the car charger, though.

Having same problem with same phone. Shut car off approx 30 minutes, restarted and it worked fine. Battery level was at 2 bars out of 4.

Verizon LG phone has some issue with firmware. Try other phone (other than verizon's LG phone) any carrier it should work.
My sister has same phone that never works with TL.

Cool

Just got my LG VX 5500 last night. I got it to pair right away. But then it lost the connection. Couldn't get it to work till this morning! I did delete the phone, and power cycled it. Nothing would work! Until this morning in my own garage. What is the "best" phone for this car????

this is my second LG VX8700, the first one worked flawlessly until I drowned it lol. This replacement worked great for several months as well until this weird s*** started popping up.

Is there a way to upgrade a bluetooth firmware on that phone somewhere for free? Convinced that Verizon would charge $50 for it.

battery with this one is fine, I never let it run out of juice. What seems to work (sometimes) is to restart the cellphone like 3-4 times. I will try deleting the phone from the car and then reconnecting.

I cant wait to switch to AT&T and a different phone like Motorola or Samsung...
