Wish me luck...

Well, thanks to this forum, I have been able to compile a list of issues I have had with my 2 week old 04TL. Not everything is a match with what people are saying here, for example the tires are not a problem but will request new ones anyway, but the following are issues I have had that fit with what others have been experiencing.
I am bringing my car in tomorrow.

Trunk with deck lid spoiler does not open much
pulls to the left at high speed
seat memory issue
need small cover for overide key on the console
license plate screw covers

Other things:

Hopefully, they can install the performance intake
Perhaps look at 18 inch wheels

This does not mean I don't like the car. I love it. I know they will have to work ou some kinks with the new design.
Will get back to you guys.
Michael

Dealer installed intake & 18" wheels = rip off....get the wheels yourself and have the intake installed at a performace car shop

Let me know how you make out.

I agree with you , however, they will warantee the install. It's a lease.

No need to have a warranty of the wheel install, and the extra $$ paid to the dealer for an intake install is worthless cause its one of the easiest things to install....people get excited about a warranty, but usually (as in the case) it is worthless and has almost no chance of being used.

Forgot to mention that the trunk problem you are having may be related to the weight of the spoiler. They were supposed to install a new trunk spring with the spoiler. I'm guessing they skipped that step (its a pain). So much for the dealer doing installs right!

Comtech. They are a parts vender for them so they are waranteed.

So far not so great news.

told me it was still pulling after the alignment. Could be a suspension problem. Not sure.
Very unhappy since they stuck me with a 03 TL and it's terrible compared to the 04.
Plus my car is only 2 weeks old.
Not off to a good start.

Comptech is not normally covered under warranty. At the same time, applying the intake should have no bearing on the regular warranty that comes with the car. Comptech has their own warranty on their part, however.

I would certainly recommend an intake from Injen or AEM before Comptech. They are more extensively tested and proven to provide greater power increases.
