Changing break pads

Changing break pads

Is there a DIY for changing the front and rear break pads?
I looked and didnt have any luck...
any advice on changing them would be appreciated it.

I will be going with these for the front

fantastic brake pads!

1. loosen wheel lugs
2. jack car up.
3. place stands under car
4. remove wheels.
5. loosen caliper bolts from behind.
6. remove one bolt and use the other as a pivot.
7. pivot caliper out of the way.
8. remove pads.
9. clean up surface and pins
10. use c-clamp to push back piston
11. install new pads with lube.
12. pivot caliper back onto rotor.
13. tighten up bolts.
14. put wheels back on.
15. hand tighten lug nuts
16. lower car.
17. tighten lug nutz

I will, unfortunately it is raining so I am going to have to wait till tomorrow to do it... =/

step 10 is different for the rears. to compress...turn the piston with pliers or a screwdriver. the rest is the same.

I used C-clamps on my 2011.

I'm not sure if this is the "correct way" but I loosen the brake reservoir cap while using the c-clamp to move the piston.
