I'm 21 year old Network Analyst for a major cell phone provider. I'm engaged and about to buy a new house. I live in Ohio currently, and while the economy may be crapping out for others, I'm in a very fortunate situation. As of the beginning of 08' I'm making over $65k comfortably and tons of overtime. At the end of the day when I get to go home I thank god I choose the hourly analyst position vs the salary engineering.

I'm 33 and sell Software in Atlanta for a big IT shop. I make decent coin but have 4 young kids who (2 sets of twins all 3 and under) make my wallet bleed on a regular basis. I am really beginning to itch for this 09 model though.

I'm an IT administrator at a small finance group in Manhattan. I make decent money, and I supplement that by doing work on the side (fixing computers, building them, setting up networks, fixing iPods, ect ect)

I work as a field service tech installing, fixing, training, etc on computerized embroidery machines from Japan. Been with the company for over a decade. Also own my own embroidery business. Have a lot going on and I use the TL everyday to service the machines onsite. I have racked up the miles as you can imagine.

I don't mean to sound harsh and this has probably been stated before but if you have to ask you probably can't afford a TL. I listen to the financial talk shows on XM radio and am amazed at the financial situations people put themselves in today - real estate, cars, credit cards, etc. Save your money up and pay cash for your expendable purchases (that's what I do). Then you can appreciate your purchase instead of complaining every time a bill is due.

23 y/o, making slightly above 90K a year working at an Insurance Analyst.
I can't afford the TL, after tax and everything I only take home like 67K, and the car would cost 1/2 of my yearly salary. I can't justify that spending on a vehicle =(

Fossil, with 90K you can easily afford a TL...
Owning a car is no longer considered a luxury, but a necessity.....besides, aTL is a good investment financially and emotionally
PS Fossil, if you have an excellent credit history, you can just get a low apr and finance any car of your choice.

Hi Teknoking
Ya, it is easily affordable if I finance it or simply lease it. However I think lease is a waste of hard earned money, and I wouldn't wanna purchase something if I dont have the cash to pay for it in the first place. There's no such thing as job security anymore, therefore I can't rely on a auto loan to enjoy what I should have paid in cash for.
Once I get 40K saved up, I'll walk straight to Acura Dealer and buy a loaded 4th Gen TL-S =)

im 23. make about 50k a year working IT department for blueshield of california (right next to the westfield mall in woodland hills for all the so cal heads). dad gave me 10k loan as a down payment on my used 2005 6mt WDP TL. I pay him $250 a month and the car is about $400 a month. me and my girl share the payments since we have an extra car already paid off. It makes it much easier. Combined we are around 85k a year. I cant wait for the 2009 TL either. I might just use a nice portion of my savings and trade in my 05 for it.

I'm an engineering tech for the IT dept at nasa here in huntsville, al. Awesome job! Anyway...just leased an 08 TL for about 565 a month. i plan to pay the difference in cash once the lease term is up. Credit is kinda bad...but this is only to fix it up as i have paid off everything that jacked my credit up in the first place. despite the slacking economy nasa still wants to send space shuttles into space so i'm good! matta fact...there will be another launch on the 11th of this month.

Im 21 with 07 Type S, I am a Laser Technician at a medical supply company in MN roughly $50k a year. Basically stole the car, it had 3k miles on it and I got it in June 07 for $30k. Had $6K down and payments only $400 a month and insurance is $220. Its not too bad.

I have 8 open credit account according to my credit report, and most of them I dont even have the credit card from them anymore, I just have Chase, Best Buy and AMEX with me now.
Now I'm only using my AMEX Plumcard for my every day charges, and I heard they don't report to the credit agencies since it is a charge card, is it true?
I wonder how it'll affect my credit score if I don't use any of my conventional revolving credit cards anymore.
I'm still waiting for the 09 TL to make my decision whether I should take the plunge.
It feels good to buy a car with one's own money, I've always relied on my parents for all of my purchases in college. =(

That excellent.
o0o Plumcard, do you have a restaurant, maybe I need to make a road trip to Boston
Use ur credit cards, just pay them off each month.
I tend to steer away from new cars the first year. I think the EX35 already has a recall.
Definitely always feels good to buy your own stuff, makes you appreciate things more.
