Greetings from the TSX thread...
Wow... logged into acurazine and saw this topic in big font - highlighted yellow.
There are some modest TL drivers out there!
Please be careful - you guys may give Acura the "snob" rating of a BMW!
Back to the TSX thread where we talk about... cars.

I've been keeping this thread clean for a long time now, but I have been neglecting it recently, so I'm hard at work deleting a bunch of inappropriate posts. If yours was one of them and isn't gone yet, it soon will be.
We don't mind a little friendly cross talk, as long as it's kept to a minimum, but the topic of this thread is about your occupation, so let's keep it on topic.
Here's a little sampling of typical comments being deleted.
I'm rich Bitch!
HAHAHHHA!!! "I'm Rick James Biatch!!"
after I sold both my kidneys i sold one of my lungs... that should hold me over till the first payment of next year... then i have to start getting creative

Job: Network Security Engineer- Hosting Company
Salary: Enough for 1 condo,1 house and a TL-S
Car: 07 TL-S $588 a month
Traded: 2006 Mercedez Benz
IMO responding to the people that laugh at spending 30k on a depreciating asset... It is all relative to how much you make..
40k to one person isnt the same as 40k to another person... granted they are still the same dollar amount, but when i drop 40k i dont feel it as much as opposed to someone making min. wage..
Cheers!

I think this is a very personal question. I don't think its anybodys business. I work at a very high end print shop, and I don't spend my money on drugs and junk. Thats how I could buy my car. Thats all I will say.

Why do you come off as rude in most of your posts? I love how you somewhat answered the question while acting like you didnt really want to. Funny.

35y RF Engineer for one of the Big Four Wireless Carriers
I did the right thing with my last vehicle and paid it off. Have had four new cars (five counting the TL) since getting out of college in 96: Ford Mustang GT, Ford Ranger Splash, Honda Accord EX and Ford F-150 Supercrew (you may note a trend in the area of manufacturers! ). I had just paid off my truck in March, was planning to drive it another year or so and then it got totalled when someone turned in front of me the Thursday before Memorial Day. So I was able to take all of a quite nice settlement and put it down on the TL. It came down to - if you can believe this - the TL or a Chevy Avalanche. The 'lanche is nice, but nothing wowed me like the TL did and I also test drove the Lexus ES 350 (the one I THOUGHT I really wanted) and the Infiniti G35.

Team Owner
I was a PM for a big communications company in Vegas. Got lucky and worked my way up to my position for the last 5 years with only 1 year of college. Company went under and so did I lol. Starting out at the bottom again but going to school this time. Luckily anyone can find a prevailing wage construction job in Vegas for $46.50/hr. Not making much less than I used to but the conditions aren't so great.

I wear many hats -- to say the least -- but my main job now is to run the business; I'm still under the guidance of the owner, though, because I have no prior managerial training. All OTJ, baby!!!
I'm also the "network administrator" which kind of happened by default (long story).
Our company's website: http://www.nisene.com/
One thing I recently did was redesign our logo:

I work as a mechanical design engineer in downtown Seattle by day, by night...I have a health and wellness business (Always looking for more business partners ). I'm also in the middle of launching a start-up business hopefully in the next couple of months.
It's alot of work, but it's fun to know that retirement will come 15-20 years earlier.

I know the question is where do you work, but since most people will interpret this as asking what they do, I will ask that you please continue this in our huge and long running thread.
I would merge this into that thread but then you folks who posted here wouldn't know where your posts went.

Price was good and my Wrangler's road noise finally reached it's breaking point. Price was 23000 with 38K mileage My Jeep gave me 9K as money-down. I gross about 75K a year. Payments are about 420/mo. I love it to death =]

Age 35,
2005 WDP w/navi,
Staff Sergeant in US Army,
Put 15k down from my first tour in Iraq. Bought it in Aug of 2005. Paid it off last month. Not even 22 months later. But I was also putting an extra 300$ on it every other month. I'm back here in Iraq again. Nothing else to spend my money on, so might as well get it paid.
Since I've been back here this time, I've been putting $3,800-4,000 on it every month. Leaving myself roughly 50 bucks in my account. If I wasn't here and still in Ft Bliss TX, I would stil be paying on it due to other expenses I have.

I work for Shell Oil in lower management. Soon (roughly 1 1/2-2 years) a police officer. It won't be much of a pay increase, but a lot more rewarding. I see that more of a career as opposed to the job I currently have.
I'm grossing 5.5K+ a month before bonuses so the TL payment is a minimal expense.

Owner of a body shop in SW Florida I bought my 07 TL-S in hopes to get more work from our local dealer right down the road from my shop, so far it has seemed to help they have referred a lot of work to us.
