What tint percent for my taillights?

Watts up guys, i was just wondering what tint percent should i tint out my taillights, side markers and front head lights, i want them to be dark in the day in the rear so people wont see the taillights but at night i want it glow red, any suggestions would help me out, i have a WDP 06 tl with navi. and the a-spec body kit, so tinting them out would look really nice.

20% would look awesome. it gives it the smoked look rather than a blacked out tail light. with taillight tints, rockblocker 20% would be lighter than 35%. kinda the reverse of window tints. im planning to order some soon myself. its like 100 dollars isnt it? since you gota get the 40 or 50dollar tailight/side marker tints and then get headlight tint separately.

Don't tint them

Don't do it man. It will decrease your visibility to other drivers, and decrease your ability to see at night.

instead go with the 07 Type-S tail lights & side markers, they look MUCH better than tinted tails. I cannot count how many people had tinted lights and then removed it, or switched to the type-S tails.

Here is a pic of mine with the typ-S tails & markers

My opinion is I like the light smoke rockblockers. They're lighter than the ones shown above. They look slick, and smooth and cut the light output just minimally. Not everyone likes the blacked out look. I guess it's a little bit of a "90s" or "euro" look but it's my taste and all my cars since I was 16 has had the treatment. (remember the old GTS headlight covers?)

IMO Type-S lights are just OK, just not something I'd do on my car. It seems to add more horizontal lines to the back of the car making it look a bit busy. One cool thing I like however is the use of black chrome. It's unique and there are not many cars out there with that look. You will have to get those smoked rear markers too.

that my friend is not a true statement.

The TL's lights are so damn bright, you can barely tell the difference with them tinted.

I have 20% on mine and you can see my brake lights bright as day...

Now 35% may be a different story. Ive never seen one with 35...

Mine are 35% and the laws up here state you must be able to see them during the day at a 45Deg angle to a distance of 300 feet and both the tails and brake lights exceed that.

has anybody tinted their side markers? specifically 07 tail side markers? I dont like the red tinted, but tinting the smoked sides might look nice...
