This is what I use. Great results but not cheap. Unless you are really anal this should be a life time supply. Mods, I do not work for the company and am not compensated for this. Before this I used soft scrub which works well too, but far more powder residue.

Try a 50-50 water/vinegar solution.

I don't know why so many people have problems cleaning their windows. All you have to use are some paper towels. They work perfectly and never leave anything behind.

I know paper towels and newspaper are good for the everyday cleaning but I'm talking about water spots you can't just wipe clean with just your everyday glass cleaner. I herd about people using soft scrub, maybe I'll try to use that first before I spend a bunch of money on the glass polish from griots garage. thanks.

You might scratch the windows with softscrub. If the water spots are caused by minerals than try the 50-50 water/vinegar mixture. That should take the water spots off. Once that is doen use Stoners Invisible Glass and Paper towels to finish the cleaning.

Ok, I'll go with that. do you just mix it in a squirt bottle? And is any type of vinegar ok?

You can mix it in a spray bottle. Use clear vinegar.

a brillow pad will take any hard water spots of and it does it quick, use lots off water (ie: dont use a dry pad). but just scrub and it will take the deposits right off, works with old sticker residue too.... i then follow up with stoners glass cleaner and a lint free towel. paper towels suck and leave lint all over

A brillow pad won't leave scratches? I think I need to invest in some micro fiber towels, any suggestions on where to get some.

This has been asked and answered countless times.

I use a polish without wax or silicone, like Meguiar's #7, or 3M Imperial Glaze. (Same as for paint waterspots).

For really tough ones, Bon Ami works well, and is cheap.

I do not think you need a specialty item like Griots anything - there are alternatives as stated that can be used for more important detailing.

If you wax your windows you don't have to worry as much about water spots in the future.
