So, what are you asking? Yes you can use vinyl to wrap those parts. Personally I used Plasti-Dip and it has been holding up fine.

The most magical thing. Just spray it on and it sticks to the surface like rubber. If you dont like it just peel it off. I did my grille in vinyl and plastidip for the emblem.

It's a flat black. Find any black plastic you have looking around and that's how it looks like.
Won't match NBP exactly.

I have pics in my album of my grill/bar painted with plasti-dip. The emblem is unpainted.

Did what I thought was a thorough paint job on my silver trim pieces about a month and a half ago, went through all the proper prep work, removed bumper, sanded the pieces to encourage the paint to stick, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, and painted about 5 coats of black paint that was meant for plastic followed by 3 layers of clear coat, with proper drying times between layers.

About a week after I did this, chips started to show up, and have only gotten worse. Nothing big, but still visible from 6 feet away. Plan on vinyl wrapping the grill in the next few weeks.

For those of you who vinyl wrapped the grill parts: does the vinyl stick to the little indentation on either side of the Acura logo?

I've heard that it can come out.

^i did mine months ago and everything stuck just fine, and still is today. working with vinyl is pretty easy for the most part, getting around those challenging curves is the most frustrating. just make sure you heat the vinyl regularly so that it becomes pliable and will make the turns you want it to. use your fingers to press it into place when you get it where you want it. if it doesn't lay down properly, heat it up and pull it off and try again.

i took apart the entire grill and wrapped each piece individually, then reinstalled them. this ensures that every piece is safe from peeling off bc all the pieces are protected/overlapped by one another when reinstalled. just take your time with it.

i did the middle bar and i didnt like it since it started peeling up....I also didn't spray it with adhesive primer either....the rest of the grill was fine...its just complex curves you have to worry about...i did the hood trim and v trim around the bumper...Left the middle piece stock
