Used TL help...
My Mom recently totaled her '06 TL, so now she she's back in the market looking for a new one. I've been trying to do most of the research for her as she has no access to internet during the day. I've came across a few cars for her but there's one in particular that caught my eye. The only thing that makes me hesitant is that is at an Infiniti dealer and therefore not certified. However here's the good its an 07 Nav with only 34,000 miles and the dealer is asking 20,881 for it. Do you guys think that a good price and are there anyway drawbacks to buying a non CPO vehicle? Anytime I've purchased used, It's always been a CPO. Thanks in advance
P.S. The resale on our vehicles is crazy... I'm still seeing Type-S's with asking prices of 27-28K

CPO cars provide an extra warranty and peace of mind; but that doesn't necessarily mean that a non-CPO car is not a good car. I was looking for a CPO car when I was searching for my TL. When I found the right car, it wasn't CPO but I bought it anyway. It was a great deal, had been taken care of and was pleasing.
From a dealer, 20k for that car seems like a reasonable price given the mileage. If she's a serious buyer, go in there and offer $18k and see what happens. It would be cool if she could get it for $19k OTD. That seems fair (considering dealer prices) for that vehicle without a CPO certification.

My 2cents...
I purchased my 2008 TL/w Navi (Non-CPO) from a local Infiniti dealer w/30k miles on it last year for $22k. I added the extended warranty for piece of mind. Wanted a Type-s but the couple I found in this area they wanted around $28k.
The Infiniti dealer I purchased my TL from did all of the required service, and they had Acura to replace the bad bearing & rear strut assembly. They even gave me a G37 to drive while the work was being done. IMO I think you should consider a good extended warranty & have them to service it and maybe have your own mechanic check it out before signing anything.

I know you're not asking me, but I have experience with the G37 and the G35. They're nice cars but IMO they don't hold up like the TL (or any Honda, in comparison) does. In fact, I've had enough bad experiences with Nissan that I would never consider one ever again. Especially over a Honda.

My friends dad has a 03 G35 and I admit, its BLEH compared to the 04-08 TL. Even the refined G35 with the updated engine is still bleh.
However the G37 actually has me considering... I really like the updated gauges too, the orange are just depressing to look at. I guess the only way to really know is to actually test drive it myself.
It seems like a pretty good deal to me, like others have said, being from an Infiniti dealer isn't so much to worry about it just means somebody traded it in for an Infiniti.
Check the car out and see what kind of condition it is in. If the interior is in good shape, not just clean but actually in good shape, it would suggest the car has been well maintained which is what matters the most. With miles that low you shouldn't have any maintenance concerns coming up.

The only (2) things I liked about the G37 was the RWD & the leather seats. Everything else I like my TL better. Believe me they tried to get me into one, and matched payments with longer terms of course. Only drove it about 25 miles round trip to work & back.
